I would recommend this restaurant for its cozy and welcoming atmosphere, affordable prices, and efficient service from friendly staff.

Always good for an affordable lunch. Our little boy loves the cakes! We tend to go with the sandwiches but the breakfasts can also be recommended.

As before mentioned reviews the usual menu but nice food very reasonably priced which I like and service with a smile. Great location by the minster -Will return again! Voir le carte

Nice food at this little cafe but my the place could do with a good clean not the first time we’ve used the place but it gets worse with each visit. Time to cover those tables please !

A pleasant enough spot with average coffee and snacks but nothing outstanding. Handy for the Minster so should do well in the tourist season, a bit empty and lacking somewhat in atmosphere on my visit.

The food was terrible, stale, and the service was extremely slow. Our coffees were not even hot. There was no value for the money we spent. The restaurant was too noisy and there were too many high chairs.

The plates of food that seem ubiquitous in most cafes these days (quiches, panini, toasted sandwiches) are served here too, large plates (with side salad and crisps or similar) and well filled sandwiches which makes this cafe good value. Tea is served in traditional tea pots with flowered cups and saucers, slightly in contrast to the more robust wooden tables. It is warm, comfortable and round the corner form the eastern end of the Minster, so well positioned. Service is a little slow but acceptable. There is bakery side ot the business and the loaves and cakes look very good I might nip back to check that out soon. Overall, a fairly average sort of York cafe that I am sure could lift itself...

My family and I went to Olivia's for lunch on a Sunday and had a lovely experience. We were happy to find a high chair for our 2 year old and plenty of tables to choose from, as well as space for our pram in the corner. Unfortunately, there was no kids menu available, but we were able to share our ploughmans and sandwich with our little one. The ploughmans was especially impressive, with a good variety of items on the plate. I appreciated that the pork pie and scotch egg were halved, and that they provided two types of cheese and mustard. The olive bread was delicious, as expected from an artisan bakery. My wife's first two drink choices and her bread choice were not available, but this was... Voir le carte
