"Odoloste was an incredible highlight in our gastronomic tour of the Basque Country and beyond. I picked the restaurant mostly for its excellent reviews, but also because it is only a pelota ball’s throw from the Guggenheim. What a lucky choice it was! We had the 9 course tasting menu, following our policy of eating well at lunchtime and starving at night. Every course was a wonderful surprise, from the deconstructed croqueta to start, through the delicious castañuelas (look ‘em up! , to the lardo ice cream. It was a delicious and astonishing tour de force. This menu is for lovers of fine food, but on a day when walking the buzzing streets of Bilbao and visiting the stunning Guggenheim Museum has built-up an appetite. Not one for the vegetarians, obs, but an incredible feast for the adventurous. And great value too!"

Ingenious food prep and tasty takes on Basque food at a reasonable price. Caveat: it is a pork-centric meal. If pork is not in your wheel-house you will be disappointed. Service was accommodating too!

very good presentation on all dishes and good service. highly recommended for everyone who gets to eat piggy and so derivatives although in letter has a plate of fish that we saw with very good looks. We got a lot of fungi with Iberian panceta to wet the rich hot bread that put you before you ask. rich baked cheese cake that knows how it should be. has menu from no drinks.

Fui con la novia el fin de semana a bilbao para ver a un amigo y el domingo antes de salir fuimos a este restaurante, lo recomiendo enormemente! excelente ubicación, buenos muebles, atención especial y comida muy elaborada y rica. Trabajan con ella pero preparan una multitud de platos excepcionales, ordenamos 2 tacos, algunos chocolates morcilla(4), costillas y lagarto (parte del cerdo) y la verdad de que todo era muy bueno. El restaurante es bonito y la comida, en general, es muy buena; aunque pagar 24€ por dos trocitos de solomillo de cerdo servidos sobre un trozo de tortilla de patata parece desorbitado. Así todo, habríamos salido contentos del restaurante de no ser por su absurda política de pedir toda la comida (postres incluidos) desde el principio. Tampoco consideramos muy lógico que hubiese platos que se podían compartir y otros que no, supuestamente por su emplatado.

It was a big surprise for us. I don't know where to start... a refreshing snack that was sublime, a sausage of octopus and pork that I still don't understand how something so different was so delicious, then they give you some fungus with carbonara that I have to recognize that they put me the hairs of hen, amazing!!! and so dish after plating . and then as colophon a refreshing dessert of bass and lemon that already makes you cry of joy. a true work of art. the place was beautiful, the ideal temperature and the two bartenders, a super friendly girl and a boy who only came to the table to give you a smile. super recommendable

"I would fly back to Bilbao just to experience this culinary art and visual sensations again. This is where gastronomy meets art. From the projected menu, table-side preparation, to 3D goggles, every dish was well orchestrated and carefully presented. The 14-course Chef Plus menu is the best choice and it was a mind-blowing 3-hour journey. I have been to several 3 and 2 stars Michelin Star restaurants around the world, and this one-star establishment gave me more excitement and surprises than some more famous ones. This is the only Michelin star restaurant that I have been to where you get to see the chef several times throughout the dinner. Their seafood dishes were the best ones I have ever had that I can truly taste the intense flavor of the ingredients, not the sauce. I have had numerous cousins with truffle before, but none of them are memorable. The aroma of the white truffle in the soup I had here today was truly legendary. The number one course for me was the dessert named Caprice of Eucalyptus Raspberry and Tomato. I was curious about the use of tomato in a desert at first, but then it became my most favorite moment of the night. The transformation of a simple ingredient such as tomato into a whole new texture and flavor was just like magic. I have never ordered an a la carte item from a prix fixe menu before, but I did tonight just to experience it twice. Again, the tomato won my heart. The raspberry biscuit was equally amazing by itself, but the shock from the tiny tomato dices hidden inside this dessert was just beyond words. This was easily the best Michelin one-star restaurant for me, and it surpassed some of my past 2-star and 3-star culinary experiences. Maybe Yelp is not commonly used in Spain, so there was only one review about this place. I would not notice this place if I just walk by, since you can 't see inside from the street. You have to ring the bell in order to get in. I went to the adjacent restaurant by mistake, since it was the only one open around there. Then I was escorted to the right place. Don 't be shy to ring the bell, even though it looks like they are closed from outside. You will not be disappointed."
