"We went to this restaurant with a local resident, and it seemed that most of the guests the night we were there are “regulars”. Nothing speaks better for a restaurant than locals who are regulars! The setting is lovely, in a renovated house is a great setting for a delicious meal. As the name suggests, it is a menu that offers a fusion of cuisines. The service was good and there is a good selection of wines. Reservations would be advised."

"While driving along the road from Cadaques to Rosas we passed a large Mas or farm house set back from the road. We stopped to read the large sign indicating Hostal and Restaurant Mas Palou. We decided to investigate and we were so glad we did. We were met at the door by a very friendly waiter who was immediately welcoming. He reassured us that he had a table, despite the fact that a very large table had been reserved and that he had other diners. The menu was varied and we had no trouble choosing a starter and main course. At this point the waiter proposed that we might like to try Pan tomat, a local dish: toast, tomato, and garlic mayonnaise, which was delicious. My husband who loves prawns chose a warm prawn twisters salad to follow, and I had onion soup. What were the twisters we wondered, but once it arrived all was revealed; they were 3 long slim cornet shaped filo sticks crammed with prawns, which my husband devoured with great pleasure. The onion soup served in a bowl included a delicious piece of bread and cheese shavings. The soup was hot and the onions tender. One of the tastiest onion soups I have ever eaten. Next came the main course. As the restaurant was a Grill I chose grilled lamb cutlets which came with a medley of aubergine cubes, courgette slices, some red peppers, onion strands, and sliced boiled potatoes. My husband had chosen grilled king prawns. He was served 8, which were meaty, juicy and delicious served on a bed of finely chopped greens. The waiters who were attentive but not intrusive removed our empty plates and offered us the dessert menu. Sadly this was only industrial icecreams or frozen sweets but to be honest we had enjoyed the previous courses so much that we declined the sweet course and finished with a coffee. The ambiance was pleasant and friendly and we felt that we had been lucky to have found this place by chance."
