"Today my dad sister and I attending the restaurant with my mother. My mother is 75 today and has dementia and Alzheimer's and in a wheelchair. We were able to take her out of her care home for a birthday coffee and cake. My sister called ahead to reserve a table in a quiet area which Neil kindly did for us. On arrival I spoke with Dawn. This young lady could not do enough to help us. She brought our coffees to our table, checked we had everything we needed, took some memorable photos of us all together (This does not ever happen and will always be remembered). What a credit to your company Dawn is, she was kind caring compassionate all with a smile. Well done Dawn you truly made my mum's birthday and our visit extra special. Thank you x"

I ordered fried cod and chips. I can honestly say that it was the worst fish and chips I have ever experienced. The batter was overcooked, and the fish was thin and insufficient. I feel that it had probably been re-heated from the day before.

Have been twice, once for breakfast which was amazing and really good food and well presented. Had brunch not much veggie choice . Not much cake choice either Plenty of seating in a really lovely restaurant , clean bright and well maintained.

I often visit this restaurant with my mom to enjoy sandwiches and hot/cold drinks. The recently refurbished restaurant looks very clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and the portion sizes are generous. My only complaint is that the prices can be a bit high for what you get.

We stopped by for a coffee and breakfast after purchasing plants for our garden. The restaurant was charming and spotless, with a great selection of food. Chrissy greeted us warmly with a "good morning" and a smile. The staff were friendly, helpful, and happy to chat and joke around - always a plus. I would definitely recommend this place.

Over from America to visit my 93 year old father and his friend (plus her daughter) collected us for tea/coffee and cheese scones at Notcutts. Dawn was clearing tables, but took the time to give us personal service taking our order on a laptop and delivering it to our table. She made it especially easy for my sight impaired father she was warm and welcoming thank you again Dawn for being a highlight of my visit back to England

My parents and I went to the restaurant and had a delicious meal. We ordered a jacket potato with tuna, an egg mayo and baby spinach sandwich, and salad, as well as a ham and cheese sandwich with chunky chips. The food was of high quality and had a nice touch of pesto on the salad. The servers were fantastic and focused on customer service. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be sure to come back when we're in the area again.

Visited the cafe at notcutts many times over the years. The new look interior is a great improvement. Decided to have a Sunday roast on our last visit and it was the worst I have ever had . Two extremely tiny slices of pork, roast potatoes over cooked, Yorkshire pudding hard as pullets and veg was just green beans and peas . Totally gross . Only one dessert , jam roly poly. Declined that . Cheap food aimed at pensioners I think who possibly eat small portions. Disappointing

We went for Sunday lunch but decided to go for the sausage and mash with peas and rosted parsnips . Sausage and mash was good but the peas were very hard like value peas from a supermarket and there were no parsnips .When we asked we were told there were no parsnips today no other comment. For dessert we decided to have a lemon shortbread sundae which was nice but had no shortbread in it only digestive biscuits Overall ok but as title says disappointed as we have had breakfast here which was good.

My wife and I called in to have morning coffee and to buy an afternoon tea gift for two friends and were horrified to find that the prices had effectively doubled to £19.95 per person, to cap it all they then charged us £40 because their gift card vouchers only come in £s not pence. When we complained they gave us 10p cash back. I would love to see a breakdown of their pricing for the afternoon teas as their website shows two course lunches for £12.95, where's the comparison!!!! I just hope it proves to be worth the £19.95 per person that we paid. MOST DISAPPOINTED.

"Sunday of our recent visit to aldeburgh was the Mother's Day and we welcomed the opportunity to taste the afternoon tea in the white lion hotel in adleburgh. the conditoir chef at the white lion is anmar odendal, an award-winning wedding cake designer. by her business crumb, she was recognized in 2013 by the high-time industry as the best wedding cake designer in the eastern englands. Our afternoon tea was florally inspired and included a selection of sandwiches, scones, cakes and pastries with a selection of tea, a glass champagne and a little pot flowers for mama, all at an incredible price of £20. it was overexamination good value and hard to think that we could get so much for so little. in a comparable iondon establishment would cost a afternoon as this probably at least £35 to £40. the selection of the fingersandwiches was delicious and included standard fillings such as gurke, sink, ei and water circles. the scenes were quite seductive, as they presented us an appealing texture. the outer was crispy and the interieur was soft. warm stuffed, the scones went floating with the dipped cream and delicious homemade skyberry jam. to the sweet things (my favorite part of a afternoon,) and on the top level of the tablet there were some beautiful pink meringue sandwiches lined with rosen water chantilly cream. these were delicate and as light as spring, and the combination with the cream was a good one. also on the top level was a zesty orange flower and vanille panna cotta sown with Indian orange blossom water and with fresh orange cest, popping sweets and a berry jelly. the jelly was particularly delicious as he was very fruity and helped to lift the panna cotta. the popping sweets was also a good note and gave the panna cotta an exciting twist. the panna cotta itself had a good consistency, but needed a little more vanilla for more taste. to move on the floor, and we really enjoyed the dark chocolate breweries as these were decadent and rich with an intense chocolate-y quality. the lavender sprocket was buttery and light, and the homemade makkarons of beet root and berry with a vanilla buttercream frosting filling were very welcoming. the macaron dishes were a little dense in the texture, but the taste combinations were a joy and were a joy to eat. a pistachio viktoriaschwamm came with a fabulous rose blossom jam center that really lifted the sponge with its sweet and exciting nature. it was a wonderful combination, and the sponge itself had a nice taste, although it was a touch dry. the themes for the afternoon tea on the white lion will change with the time as chef anmar constantly seeks new ideas and brings colorful inventions to the table. but is sure that every afternoon tee will be very pleasant. unique, colorful and funny, the pastries we tried were inviting to eat and showed solid technology. her creativity demonstrated the artistic and originality in her design. the sandwiches and skorn were also very good, and at a ridiculously reasonable price of £20 per head, the white lion showed that it is doing really well in the afternoon. I calculate today afternoon tee with 3.75/5"
