"We arrived at the Fairmont Hotel after a few hours travelling and didn't fancy going far for dinner. In the end, we opted for one of the many dining options in the hotel itself, the Nikkei Nine. It was quite busy when we arrived and with no table immediately available, we took a couple of stools at the bar and stayed there. The Australian barman was very amiable and had a nice conversation as he helped us with the menu and made our drinks. The food was superb, from sushi, sashimi to some more traditional plates such as lamb chops but with an eastern flair. Not cheap but as always, you get what you pay for. There's a nice atmosphere too so recommended if you're passing."

One of the best Asian meals I've ever had, outstanding. Service also excellent. Lovely place right in the centre of Hamburg.

Loved it. Great restaurant, atmosphere and staff. The food and cocktails are excellent, could be a bit more of an Peruvian influence but that is my personal opinion :)

Very nice, trendy restaurant. Asian fusion style with really great quality food. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. As we were with a group, we had a set menu. We will certainly revisit this place when back in Hamburg. Voir le carte

Beautiful place and the food is great too!We had various cold and hot starters, which were all perfectly prepared. As main course the 'miso salmon' was very tasteful.Unfortunately the waitress made some mistakes; wrong wine, no coffee.Nevertheless, just great!

Very stylish restaurant, with a very open kitchen, which was a cool feature. We had 5 course omakase, and nearly all of the dishes was outstanding. The restaurant was completely full, and the service was a little bit affected by that. But all in all a very good experience.

I really enjoyed the business lunch, it was reasonably priced for such a high end restaurant. Food was very fresh and nicely presented by friendly and helpful staff. They have a really interesting selection of gin in there bar and even the home made ice cream was authentic. Voir le carte

Location: right by the water - dressier crowdAmbiance: open environment (they have bug spray at tables)Food: supposed to be Peruvian and Japanese but didn't really see this with the menuDrink: nothing stand out Service: attentive Cost: comparatively more expensivelyVerdict: skip unless you're craving sushi

Waiter took the liberty to order both starters and main courses for our table, and orders bottles of wine when only asked for a glass. The service was so bad that I was about to loose my cool but our party of 9 colleagues told me to chill. In fairness the food was delicious but spending well over a thousand euros for food we did not order was a bit of a joke. To be clear we don't mind paying for a good meal and we know our food but it just seemed like a swindle. Please beware and order from the menu. Final word is that the ambiance was good and we have been a few times before without the joke / profiteering service.Tut tut.
