New Royal Grand - Carte

The oil used to fry the food must have been months old! We couldn’t eat it at all! All the food we ordered was so dark in colour the noodles gloopy and everything tasted burnt

We were charged a high price for food that was cold and delivered late. My friend and I had to order online because we had no other options. There are definitely better dining choices in the area.

Ordered for the 2nd time last night! Absolutely gorgeous! Had the £7 special of beef in black bean with rice. My son had sweet n sour chicken with chips! Cones with 5 spring rolls! Bargain! Hot plentiful and tasty Voir le carte

I placed a delivery order at 6:10 and called twice to inquire about the status, being told that my food was on its way. However, it took 2 hours for my order to arrive and when it did, it was incorrect. The customer service over the phone was poor during both calls. The quality of the food that did arrive was not great. I do not plan on using this restaurant again.

Of the 3 places on/around Scrooby Rd after trying them all, this is the 1 we go to every week for takeout. We haven't yet been to eat in but the restaurant looks very nice. Decor, cleanliness etc. They are always very nice and friendly when we collect our meals. Pricing is very good. . They have a larger than normal selection on the menu and the food is much nicer than nearby rivals

We ordered delivery from this restaurant last night. Unfortunately, the food arrived cold and had ingredients we specifically requested to be omitted. The chicken seemed to have been reheated from the previous day and was inedible. When we tried to complain, we were hung up on several times and told to stop calling. In frustration, we went to the restaurant in person, only to be refused a refund or a fresh order. The customer service was absolutely appalling. We will not be ordering from this restaurant again. Eaten a few times from here but sadly will be the last. Food was nearly an hour late and Luke warm. I had the Tom yum soup and lemon chicken from here for the first time, it wasnt amazing but wasn't the worst I'd had. within a few hours of consuming the food I developed terrible stomach cramps and diarrhea along with vomiting. I was up all night and a day later I still have the symptoms. It's awful. I hope the establishment takes note of this and looks into how the food was prepared/kept and the hygiene of the kitchen on the 31/10/2020 so this can be avoided in the future.

We have had some excellent food from the Royal Grand in the past however the last couple of orders have been pretty horrible. Last night we had a beef fillet with green pepper in back bean sauce that was virtually inedible as it was heavily loaded with salt. The so called 'fillet ' was very tough and I would hazard a guess and say that it was not fillet. Bearing in mind the fillet version is much more expensive than the normal beef this is not acceptable. In the past we haven 't had a problem with this and it was definitely fillet but not this time. We rarely go out for a meal as a family, but we’re glad we did this evening. It was our first visit to New Royal Grand Chinese Restaurant and it will not be our last. We ordered four Happy Meals (one starter, one main course at £7 per person). Starters were great and we were rather expecting small mains because of the special price but how wrong we were! When the children’s Chicken Fried Rice came out, each plate was piled with food. My husband and I had Sweet and Sour Cantonese Chicken and Chicken in Blackbean Sauce, both with fried rice all dishes were full of freshly cooked vegetables.
