"I was extremely disappointed with the service and food order management at this pub. After placing a partial food order at the bar, the inexperienced staff informed us that we could only dine in the pub lounge and not outside. This was followed by the news that they were only serving pizza at that time. I later found out that this was because a table of seven had arrived in the restaurant. Despite the lack of business at the pub and the absence of any signs indicating a change in the menu, I witnessed servers bringing burgers, baguettes, onion rings, and other items to other customers. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked to speak with the manager, Charlotte Ward, she simply replied, "That's what it is" with an unhelpful blank expression. I feel compelled to bring attention to the fact that this experience did not meet the standards I would expect from a reputable establishment."

Food and beer range excellent and good quality. Strong menu. Service a little on the slow side, it does feel as if the kitchen/bar can’t keep up with the number of tables. Unfortunately, the pub was very loud on this visit which did make the atmosphere a little unpleasant.

I usually enjoy this restaurant, but yesterday was a letdown. A group of 10 of us went and even though it didn't seem crowded, it took a while to get our food. One meal had to be sent back because it was cold. My uncle didn't want another meal brought out, so that was disappointing. The staff didn't ask us if we wanted any sauces, which they usually do. We had to ask for drinks because they forgot about them, and the gravy never came. It was a very poor experience, especially since this place is normally really good.

A family of 5 of us went and we was seated straight away. We ordered our drinks and food and the drinks arrived quickly. Now the food order was a tad longer. The order was two stael pies one scampi and two chicken dishes. We got our food over one hour later. When it came mine was tepid if that and the chips were cold. I counted 10 chips and my uncle who had the same meal got double the amount I received. If the staff didn't talk too much our food wouldn't of been left to go cold. It's not cheap either the pie is £7 dearer than a public house nearby and nowhere near has good.

I went to view a couple of houses in Walton when I dropped on this excellent pub. It 's well worth the journey from Hood Green, Barnsley. Better than the Strafford Arms just a mile away from my home address. I 've been 3 times in the last fortnight. I loved the Sea Bass, which I asked for without looking at the menu on my last visit. My sister mentioned her chips were overdone, my neice commented similarly regarding her fishcakes. The first offering of Sea Bass I devoured was also a little overdone but this made it more delicious in my opinion. I downed the skin off the fish which was crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Will definitely go again. Well done!

Used to live in Walton 20+ years ago and its been a long time since I set foot inside the new inn. Its been totally revamped and restructured and is now a really nice comfortable place to be. No aloofness, pleasant surroundings and nice staff. I was driving so couldn't take advantage of the many varied and nice beers available. But a great selection to satisfy most palates. Plenty of choice on the menu too and all looked great. The food was beautiful and piping hot. And the prices were competitive. I had the new inn pie which was great. Could have done with a few more chips and gravy but otherwise very good. My wife had the lasagna which she said was very nice. Starters were a really tasty t...

"My wife and I had dinner at Coraima this evening whilst staying in Wakefield and what a delightful restaurant it is. The simple and authentically decor provides an instant relaxed atmosphere. We started with drinks. I had a Telba (a cold drink made with ground flax seeds) and my wife had a Beso (a cold, slightly sweet roasted barley drink). Both were delicious. For starters we shared a Beetroot Salad. It was very fresh with a delicately flavoured vinegar type dressing. As neither of us had had Abyssinian cuisine before, we decided to go for the 'Combination dish for two ' to give us an overall taster of their menu. A large round slate plate arrived with nine perfectly neat individual dishes sat on an injera (a slightly sour flat bread made from teff flour) with a further six neatly rolled injeras and four small chickpea flat breads. Every dish was very well spiced and made with care. Delightful and moreish. By the time we had eaten the whole plate we were nicely full but it did not feel heavy. We rounded the evening with hot drinks of a Shay (a North African spiced tea) and an Abyssinian coffee. The coffee (and popcorn) is not cheep at £9.95, however, this is by far the best coffee I 've ever tasted and a must for any coffee lover. We were informed that they roast the beans with spices in-house. Another sign of their dedication to present an authentic experience delivered with passion. Thoroughly recommended. Some additional information: 1. The restaurant is vegetarian and gluten free. 2. We had to pay a £20 no-show deposit when making the online table booking the day before, although, this has become, understandably, quite common for independent restaurants."
