"One of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. I arrived, was sat at a nice table in the terrace, and made my order. The waiter came back and said that there was a mandatory minimum consumption of 50€pp, which my order did not comply with. When I made the reservation back in May, there was no mention of this. They told me this was a new policy. I explained that it wasn’t about the money but simply that ordering more food would be a waste, since me and my mother weren’t hungry for so much food, and also that it was unfair to impose a policy on us which wasn’t in place at the time I made the reservation. They tried to kick us out of the restaurant. I said it was unacceptable, especially because we had come a long way just for dinner. After around 15mins of extremely unpleasant arguing with the rude restaurant supervisor, they finally accepted for us to stay, however moving us downstairs to a table indoors without the view. Completely ridiculous. The supervisor was completely unfit for her role, being extremely rude and unpleasant. If there was another restaurant with availability closeby we would have left without a doubt. Absolutely don’t recommend. Greedy, unpleasant, rude and disrespectful service."

We had heard about this place before we visited Deia, so it was on our list of places to eat. We were not disappointed, and we had a delicious meal, one of the best of our two week holiday.

one of the best asian food in the island. Amazing location with a view on the mountains of Deia, a bit isolated but worth it. The service reflected the quality and generosity of the food. I specifically recommend the Pad Thai both vegan and duck versions were great !

I started to write a great review but it was deleted. What I want to say is that this is probably one of the best restaurants we have visited in over 15 years….please just go there and see for yourself.. It has a wonderful menu, focused on flavour…and that’s what good food is all about…enjoy!!

Wow! Where to start… the tables and setting are beautiful. Every little detail has carefully been considered from the beautiful rustic linen table cloths, the cutlery, music… views… and then of course the food. Which was delicious. We had three courses and each dish was amazing. Decent size portions, full of flavour and tasted fresh and delicious.

The restaurant is breathtaking, an authentic old building wrinkled table cloths and napkins. Linen curtains to shield you from the sun and a bamboo roof on the upstairs patio. It's worth visiting just to be in awe. The service was great. The food was nice. we would have prefered chicken rather than duck, and the pad thai was overly complicated, but OK. Portion sizes are huge. Star of the show mango sticky rice.

My wife and I recently moved to Mallorca from Las Vegas so we are familiar with high end dining. Restauant Nama is one of our favorite joints on the island! The food was amazing, service was perfect and the views are spectacular! We also met the owner and she was super sweet and overly accommodating so we can't wait to come back with some of our friends : Tuna Tartar was best I have ever tasted so much try that!

Best Thai food I have had, and we have had a lot. The view alone was incredible. We had dinner at 8:00 and were able to watch the sunset over the mountain. To start we had dumplings with seared scallops and pork, and spring rolls with prawns. The sauces were amazing. For our mains we had pad Thai noodles with duck and the main crispy duck. Great wine selection and the service was great as well. I recommend the chocolate cake for dessert!

My wife was skeptical about my making a reservation at an Asian fusion restaurant in a medieval village in the mountains in Spain, but when we were done she admitted it was one of her favorite meals on our trip. Food ingredients and preparation were first rate. I love SE Asian food and this was one of my favorites ever in terms of flavors and offerings. Great views of the valley and my wife loved the flowing curtains flapping in the breeze on the outdoor terrace (of which there are two identical levels so if you are brought to a table you don’t like on the main level ask about the upper deck). We had dumplings, salt and pepper calamari, some of the largest and juiciest langostinas I’ve ever...

Food here is just fabulous, so fresh, the ingredients used are very high quality. We really enjoyed our meal immensely, packed full of flavour. We had 3 starters to share, the 2x Vegan Spring Rolls and 1 Vegan Mushroom Dumplings with Poppadoms and Mango Chutney. Followed by Bali Surf Turf, what a work of art! Delicious too. Myself being Vegetarian for 50 years, opted for a vegan curry. It certainly packed a punch on spice. Vegetables crisp, no over cooked veggies here. You can see it’s local vegetables used, incredible taste, even my husband commented on how good the vegetables tasted. Fabulous cocktails expertly made, husband opted for red wine, due to just starting antibiotics. A restauran...

"A Disappointing Experience at Es Raco Des Teix! I recently visited the much-lauded Es Raco Des Teix in Deia, Mallorca, Spain, with my spouse, and I must say that our experience left a lot to be desired. Despite the hefty price tag of 600 euros, the overall quality of the meal fell far short of our expectations. In fact, we have had better and more unique dining experiences at other establishments that don't charge an arm and a leg. One of the main issues we encountered was the minuscule portion sizes. Each dish was disappointingly small, leaving us feeling unsatisfied and craving more substance. To make matters worse, some of the dishes arrived at our table cold, which significantly impacted our enjoyment of the meal. For the premium price we paid, we expected impeccably executed dishes that were both delicious and presented with artistic flair. Sadly, Es Raco Des Teix failed to deliver on this front. Another letdown was the sommelier's performance. We were looking forward to an insightful wine pairing experience, but the sommelier did not provide us with the expected level of expertise. The explanations regarding the chosen wines and their compatibility with the dishes were scarce, leaving us feeling disconnected from the overall dining experience. Surprisingly, we had a far better and more informative wine tasting experience at a local winery in the area, where the staff eagerly shared their knowledge and passion for the wines. When dining at a restaurant of this caliber, one expects a true culinary journey, complete with unique flavors, meticulous presentation, and attentive service. Unfortunately, Es Raco Des Teix fell short on all these fronts. The lack of creativity in the presentation of the dishes left us unimpressed, and the absence of detailed explanations from the waiters and sommeliers about the specificities of each dish and wine pairing was a missed opportunity. Ultimately, the exorbitant price we paid for our meal at Es Raco Des Teix did not reflect the quality or experience we received. While the restaurant may boast a Michelin star, it failed to deliver a truly memorable dining experience that justified the steep cost. I cannot help but feel that we were taken advantage of, as we have had far more satisfying and enlightening dining experiences elsewhere. Save your money and seek out a more authentic and exceptional culinary adventure elsewhere in Mallorca."
