"We’ve been to The Mill several times and always had reasonably good food there, so took a friend there for dinner on Sat night. There were two issues this visit. Firstly on arrival we could barely get through the door it was rammed around the entrance part of the bar with young drinkers. Apparently a younger crowd who have allegedly been barred from three other pubs in Haslemere are now descending on the Mill at weekends to drink. We thought we’d walked into a private party. No effort seemed to be made to get these groups away from the door. We couldn’t check in at the bar like usual and we’re left hanging around like spare parts until we got someone’s attention. The noise in the main dining room was not conducive to a pleasant meal and conversation. After asking we were moved to the room around the corner. The Mill really needs to tackle this quickly otherwise they are going to lose diners. Secondly food not up to scratch and portion size, specifically of the mussels, was very mean. Some of our food was lukewarm when it turned up. And you are going to sell mussels on the menu as a main course you really need to be serving more than 11 of them I counted. Go back to offering smaller starter and larger main portions £10.95/£17.95 respectively) or move the mussels to starter menu to avoid disappointment. On a positive note, the pie was excellent and the waitress was lovely and did her very best to improve our experience. Hence the two stars. I’m not sure we’ll be back for dinner again, lunch time might be a safer bet."

katie, mina and lorenzo were excellent as eating and the atmosphere for Sunday dinner. highly recommended. the big roast was not disappointed!.

so an amazing place, excellent customer service, definitiw a beautiful place with high quality food and drink. had such a great evening, my new favorite place on my doorstep. will be back again

I met up with friends to take a walk around Shottermill lakes with our dog. We had booked a table for lunch and were met with a lovely and friendly welcome. The pub had a very pretty and cosy interior, and the food was superb - reasonably priced and portioned just right! The staff were great, very efficient and friendly. We will definitely be coming back here for more walks and lunches!

we were a rather big group of 11 and sat outside. we appreciate the terrace heatings that are available on timers and for the umbrella owners for operation. service was good (especially in consideration of the size of our group). the menu is not so big, but there were some specials and everyone found something to their taste. eating was a decent quality, a few smaller niggers a lot of nothing pampering the evening. it would definitely be superior to return.
