"Couldn 't fault our early dinner for 5 at the Manor House 's restaurant. From our vegan 'sharing board ' and heritage beetroot starters, through a hake special, cauliflower bhuna, fish and chips and potato mains, to the two excellent (and reasonably priced) bottles of Pinot Grigio, everything was beautifully cooked and presented. The meal was accompanied by an excellent and reasonably priced Pinot Grigio. The experience was welcoming for wheelchair users, service was warm friendly and professional and this was a lovely way to end our autumn holiday in the South Lake District/Morecambe Bay. Thanks for a great evening. Vegetarian options: Full of flavour and originality; cauliflower bhuna and potato risotto Parking: We found a flat wide bay near the entrance. Wheelchair accessibility: Fully wheelchair accessible."

The restaurant offers a complete vegan menu, along with gluten-free options. I've tried nearly everything on the vegan menu, and I can confidently say that everything was delicious!

We chose to dine at the Manor House on a Saturday afternoon and were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. We ordered a starter and main course each, and I also indulged in dessert, which arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. We never felt rushed, yet we were never overlooked either; it created a very pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant boasts a spacious parking lot and well-maintained restrooms. Overall, I would rate the food 5, the service 5, and the atmosphere 5.

The drive to get to this restaurant is absolutely incredible! You get to enjoy the countryside as you drive and this restaurant is tucked up on a country road. They do have a decent bit of parking behind the building, we parked on the side of the street as we didn’t originally see the parking until we got out of the car. The inside is extremely cozy and the service was excellent!! We both ordered Steak &Guinness pie and were impressed with the portion size, presentation, and taste! We would easily come back again! We didn’t feel rushed as we ate and we were able to enjoy our meal comfortably. I can’t wait to come back!!! Vegetarian options: They had a decent selection of vegetarian meal opti...

"On reading the reviews I decided it was best to book a table and this proved to be advisable as it was very busy. On entering it was very hot and busy. I had asked for a quiet table and this was provided, however it was Table 11 which meant waitresses going behind you to get crockery etc and diners using the facilities. The chairs were a bit low for me and seemed to skid quite easily, however they were comfortable enough. The service and food was excellent. We were looked after by a couple of waiting staff, all very polite and helpful. The drinks order was taken first, hubby had a non-alcholic beer, our friend had an Appletizer and I asked for a GLASS of dry white wine, unfortunately however as it was so noisy that waitress must have misheard and a bottle with three glasses arrived. However when we pointed this out, no problem, the waiter was very apologetic and just took them away and came back with the correct order. We were there for a celebratory meal. We decided to have starters and opted for the sharing platter of what was really a sort of charcuterie platter. All very nice, but quite large for a starter. For our main courses my husband had the Homemade Lasagne and I opted for the Milano Betulla's (a chicken, mushroom, onion and pasta dish). Both were delicious. I don't usually opt for anything with onion in it, but this was good, just enough onion to give it crunch and flavour but not too much. My only comment is that the portions were HUGE. Personally I would have preferred to have had half the portion with a small salad to accompany them. I had to leave half of mine. Our friend opted for one of their pizzas. This was a good size and he said it was one of the best pizzas he had ever had. Hubby and friend decided to go for a dessert, of the cheesecake of the day. They said it was nice but way to chocolatey for them. I was too full but needed something to cool me so had a dish that had ice cream where you poured espresso coffee over it and that did help with the digestion. All in all a very pleasant experience and I would recommend, but would advise booking, especially during the holiday seasons."

"Pre booked a table online as I wanted the table for a family retirement meal for my Mum, added into the comments a request to have a couple of bottles of fizz and sharing dessert for our party (which nobody acknowledged), I called a couple of days before to arrange this and pay upfront, I was told we would have two bottles of fizz and 6 glasses ready for us on the table on arrival we didn 't why? Awkward as then the waitress is coming over asking what we want to order to drink I was planning on surprising my Mum with the fizz. Sharing dessert I 'm not sure if there was a miscommunication between us as when it arrived after the meal I 'd question how many people were sharing the dessert. I 've been to the Farmers plenty over the years for food and it 's always been pretty decent, it 's always a good atmosphere etc. Unfortunately on this occasion the food was pretty poor. Two of us ordered the 'tandoori ' chicken kebabs so bland, I 'd question whether the chicken had ever seen any sort of marinade/spice mix. Rice was tasteless and there was a pitiful number of chips for a 'half half ' portion. Mussels again commented on the portion of chips served on the side tight. Fish dish was small but aren 't they always and the Cajun chicken and brisket meals were fine. A shame overall as like I said it 's always a good atmosphere and it is a nice place interior wise. I wouldn 't rush back unfortunately."
