Maki Ramen Leith St

I loved it so much when I came after Edinburgh marathon that I had to come back before I flew back home again! Absolutely recommend here for ramen lovers!

The best takoyaki and kobucha squash katsu! The chicken ramen was so tasty and so many great textures and flavours. Very fast service too and love the cosy atmosphere with clearly visible kitchen!

The Tonkotsu ramen wasn't bad but I would have loved to have some condiments options... The veggie gyoza was tasteless. The pork ban was perfect and full of flavor. Prices are a bit steep but that's to be expected. Voir le carte

Very delicious place to have Ramen! It is very tasty and good size of portion! Highly recommend this place, I was so lucky to arrive in time before tons of people arrive but it completely deserves it! Is a delicious food!

Courteous service, the store was full, there were lots of people picking up items and yet the food was there quickly and was great. You would even be asked if you had any allergies and there were some vegan dishes on the menu.

Very very good food with many vegan/vegetarian options. Hard to find good vegetarian ramen places and this is definitely a good one! If I’m ever back in Edinburgh I will definitely be coming here again! Highly highly recommend! Voir le carte

Great to have a bowl of ramen after a strong of burgers, fish-n-chips and other pub grub. There were no condiments on the table... but as my wife puts it, you shouldn't spoil the chef's recipe.... and she's always right. A most tasty bowl of ramen later, I'm ready to roam the streets of Edinburgh again. P.S. Don't ask for sushi here. They're ramen specialists!

I was craving some spicy ramen and was super happy to finally experience an authentic ramen place. I tried hell ramen and it was one of the top 3 ramens I have ever tried. We ordered a variety of dishes including chicken karaage, yakisoba, gyoza and every dish was amazing totally worth the 30 min wait as this is a busy place. If you are craving some spicy ramen give the hell ramen a try!

Haven’t been here in over a year until today but wasn’t impressed this time around. Whilst service is polite and they do attend to you, the place does feel even less authentic now than before. Japanese language gets you nowhere which detracts from the overall experience. This is more of an asian fusion place tbh. Secondly (and perhaps most importantly) the food was extremely oily today which is really unhealthy (not that Tonkotsu Ramen is a health dish). But today the soup was literally swimming in a sea of oil (see pic below). Please take with this as this the absolute basic of any so-called “Japanese”. Voir le carte
