"Phenomenal! We walked past here on Tuesday evening pretty late and it was closed but we were so intrigued that we made a visit back the next day to try out for some lunch. I went for the Trip To Mexico wrap accompanied by a Magic Dragon tea, and my partner had the aubergine panini (I forget the actual name) along with a mango tea. Absolutely insane! The drinks were wonderful, a full tea pot filling about 4 refills of the teacup and were super tasty! The food itself was amazing the portions are HUGE, I actually had to give half of mine to my partner as I was stuffed. Delicious though and so excited to return. An absolute hidden gem with fantastic staff!"

"This is a great independent restaurant in a town full of the same old boring chain names. The menu choices were just right and the food was excellent. The staff were very nice and looked after us very well. Had a chat with Andrew the Chef at the end of the evening and wish him all the best. The Scullery is now our go to restaurant in Stratford."

"Excellent food! The focaccia starter was a little overpriced for what it was, but still tasty. However, the main courses more than made up as they were both delicious and although not large portions, were a good size and a lot better than many places. I had the pork belly/pork loin with dauphinoise and savoy; my other half had the goats cheese and cranberry filo with orange and chickpea salad. Would be happy to recommend both dishes. The dessert was the real standout though. The lemon curd and passionfruit Eton mess was the choice for both of us, and it was simply superb. Little things made it so good, like the homemade meringue that was much denser than normal meringue, and the liberal application of fruit (always a bugbear of mine with this dish elsewhere). The staff were very friendly, helpful and just seemed like a really nice cheerful bunch of folks. All in all an excellent experience. This was my first visit in almost 25 years, but I'll be back again for a third visit soon!"

"This was our first visit since the ferry changed hands. The biggest change for us was the food. The food is different but still good! We went on a Saturday, so can't comment on the Sunday roast but we tried a fair sample of the plates. For starters, we had a soup and a pate. Both went down very well. The soup was a vegetable soup, thick and dull of veggie chunks. The pate was a generous wedge. For mains, we had a steak and kidney pie, fish and chips, half roast chicken, and a fish goujon sandwich. The pie was well filled and a suet pastry for a change. Fish and chips, a fair portion and light looking batter. The half roast chicken was a fairly large bird and the fish goujon sandwich was well filled and tasty. Dessert was a sticky toffee pudding- nice and light, and a fruit crumble with custard, slightly tart but a nice balance against the custard. Service was fast and the team were friendly.
