Lord Bute - Carte

Impromptu family dinner, sauté foie gras, potted Dorset crab, among other things, fillet steak, lemon sole... top notch service and London-Level fine dining, incredibly well-priced. Will absolutely be back. Service great.

We only stayed at Lord Bute for one night in March after leaving an overpriced and terrible pub B&B nearby. The staff at Lord Bute were very friendly and efficient, and we had a beautiful room. It was great value for the money and the breakfast was delicious. It really made our weekend.

Came for an afternoon tea and the food and service were amazing. Everyone was very attentive and i dont think my tea or champagne glass were ever empty. The sandwiches and scones were delicious and everything was presented so nicely. I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of going, you will not be disappointed. Voir le carte

We were celebrating a personal milestone and had an enjoyable evening and an excellent meal. The restaurant manager was very pleasant and attentive to our needs. Lord Bute has recently changed management and is better for it. We look forward to dining there again as we are locals. I’m sure other locals would benefit from adding the Lord Bute to their list of places to have an enjoyable lunch or evening. MC 9 Nov 23

I recently attended the Wednesday Jazz night with a set meal at this restaurant. The food selection was excellent and each course was served fresh and hot. The service was top-notch and the dining room was beautifully decorated. The live music added to the ambiance and made the evening feel very special. All of this at a great price. I will definitely be returning next year for our anniversary. I highly recommend this place.

Came here on a busy evening last week and was suitably impressed. The scallops and the potted crab were both fantastic, and we each had a fillet steak, which was also really tender and perfectly cooked. The waitress that served us was absolutely excellent, it was her second week working here and is just learning about the wines which I’m sure she will master! Very glad that it is not closed contrary to public opinion! I’m so pleased that this place remains here and that the food and menu had a much-needed overhaul! I can see some people have written detailed reviews but i’m not much of a writer. I just wanted to say that my wife and I eat in lots of top-tier restaurants and the Lord Bute now stands 2nd to none! We are thrilled to have this top-notch restaurant on our doorstep once again!

Avid fan of Green's for a very long time, and though this feels very different, it was absolutely supreme. Menu as we have come to expect from Mr Green, classy, tasty, and enough on there to choose from but not too much on there as to make one nervous of how much is actually fresh. Crab and Rillettes to start followed by two fillet steaks. Didn't have room for dessert, but saw the others next to us Cheeseboard looks amazing. I have to say, next time I will ask for a table near a radiator, that was the only thing, but apart from that, tremendous, cant wait to come back.

We’ve eaten Bradley Green’s food at Green’s Berkshire, which was flawless, Horse Groom Shoreditch, also flawless and the Polo Club which was “ok” but way too complex and our meal at the Polo for two was £485, which we have never got over, it was exquisitely presented though, looked too good to eat. Anyway, we had to try The Bute after following his career for so long. To our surprise he actually is there and clearly working in the kitchen, he walked by us several times we would have liked him to stop for a meet and greet but he did seem very busy so didn’t want to make pains of ourselves.
