"You will not be disappointed if you eat at this restaurant. I would like to think my husband and I are well travelled and have quite a diverse taste in food. I have to say that this was probably one of the best Italian restaurants we have ever eaten at. The menu was both interesting and exciting and our host really went of his way to explain every dish to us as our Italian was so poor. The decor and ambience of the restaurant was very welcoming clean and unpretentious. My husband drank a very good local Neapolitan beer and we had some very quaffable local white wine which was recommended. All very reasonably priced A very enjoyable evening"

Really very good family restaurant, Giancarlo, the manager/waiter, extremely cordial and welcoming. The linguine alle vongole could have been sllightly more savoury, but the deep fried fish was close to perfection. Very good value for money. What else could you ask for?

When you have a meal here, you're family! We sat at a table outside in a pleasant neighborhood setting. Other diners were families and obviously regular customers. Food was delicious and the owner, Giancarlo, provided warm and friendly service, full explanation of the menu. He chose a really nice wine for us to go with the dishes we ordered. Delicious seafood and vegetables--lightly fried shrimp starter with a fantastic agrodolce, grilled mixed seafood, grilled zucchini and eggplant were beautiful side dishes. For dessert, warm pistachio tart was amazing!

"Very nice ambience. The restaurant is located in an old construction near Baia's port. You eat in the middle of an old courtyard, feeling like you are back in the 1950s. Very good tableware. A bit less comfortable is the entrance, as the place is right on the street, very busy and dangerous on saturday night. Service is good too, just a bit harrassing with waiters explaining every dish with long descriptions one forgets the second lates they finish. That is part of an atmosphere the owner wants to be classy and elegant. The problem is that food is not at the same level. I mean, it is good and fresh, especially raw fish, but preparations are too standard to justify an averagely high price. In a table of 7, we had cold and hot starters including raw seafood and one main dish (paranza fried fish for some and catch of the day for the others), plus 5 desserts and white wine. I believe 310€ are a bit too much for what we had, not really in terms of quantity, but for the quality of the preparations. One example is the cold starter: a dish composed by 5 different starters to be eaten from left to right, from lighter to stronger taste. You start with one single raw sea truffle, go on with a tuna tartare, one single raw baby red shrimp with burrata, raw calamari slices and finally smoked salmon. Good quality and right taste, but nothing new, no special work from the chef, that's food you can find in every good-standard restaurant in the area of Naples. Same with the fish we had: too simple. In my view, simplicity is a positive value in food, but not for a place that wants to construct its own style on a classy and elaborate (and expensive) cuisine concept. Different situation concerning the desserts which I personally didn't try but left my friends with very good sensations. In conclusion, it's worth a try, can be good for a romantic tête-à-tête or a dinner with friends, but don't expect a special experience."
