Good if not outstanding meal in an authentic restaurant filled with locals. Le Patron very welcoming. Friendly atmosphere. I'd go again.

Had a fantastic meal on the way to Nantes. Various class of food. Had Amuse Bouche on the house, Carpaccio for beginners, gorgeous duckbone confit with crispy chips. I couldn't manage the dessert. The manager was great, spoke very good English and was very helpful. Beautiful quiet location on the river.

We booked a hotel at Nantes airport and hired here before check-in. We were warmly welcomed and service was exceptional. The food was of exceptional quality and very well appreciated, with many home specialities. Thin crust pizza, fantastic steak with local cooked chips and an excellent café-gourmand. Will definitely come back when we stay at the airport.

Olivier, le propriétaire, a été très accueillant dès que nous sommes entrés dans le restaurant. Non seulement la nourriture était délicieuse, avec des plats de haute qualité et originaux, mais Olivier crée également une atmosphère agréable où l'on peut interagir avec d'autres clients, être à l'aise et vraiment profiter. L'emplacement est magnifique avec une belle vue sur la rivière. Hautement recommandé si vous voulez passer un bon moment.

C'était la première fois depuis un moment que je suis allé à La Digue. J'avais été satisfait la dernière fois que j'y suis allé, mais aujourd'hui, le temps a rendu toute l'expérience encore meilleure. L'emplacement (une fois que vous avez fait la descente raide jusqu'à la rivière) est idyllique. Au lieu de choisir les plats du jour sur l'ardoise, j'ai opté pour l'entrée de foie gras et l'option de poisson Merlu. Les deux plats étaient copieux et le vin local Mareuil était bon et fruité.

Located on the river bank in the old town of Montaigu, this small family-run restaurant is proud to serve with fresh ingredients (regional) French dishes and surround everything with a beautiful, warm and friendly atmosphere. We have closed our summer holidays with the family in this restaurant and really enjoyed us. The crew will be happy to advise you on your meals and drinks when required in English. My wife, as a vegetarian, also had a lot of choice. We had calf, pig and fish and all were very delicious. Special reference to desserts, we had the hairdress and cafe gourment . If you are around, treat yourself and your friends to a good meal in La Digue.

Sur le chemin de Bordeaux, nous voulions déjeuner autre part qu'à une aire de repos sur l'autoroute. Par hasard, nous avons vu la ville sur la carte et avons vu qu'elle avait plusieurs restaurants. Nous avons choisi La Digue car il était situé au bord de la rivière. La cuisine était variée et provenait de sources locales. Le confit de canard était entièrement fait maison et le saumon était fumé par le propriétaire-chef. Lorsque nous avions des difficultés à traduire le menu, le neveu du propriétaire, qui était le gérant, a facilement traduit. Lorsque nous lui avons demandé où il avait appris l'anglais, il a dit qu'il venait de revenir de Grande-Bretagne où il avait travaillé dans un restaura...

I was there for a business dinner in nov.19. The place was really good both in terms of food and hospitality. The place inside is charming and typical, outside is just in front of a river were (I suppose because on night time we don’t see anything) you should find the famous ‘digue’. The foigrois degustation was gorgeous and the son of the owner was dealing with the guest like a British gentleman... only much more funny and welcoming! Prices are in line with France (we paid for appetizer, main dish, cafè gourmand a glass of wine 60€/each), and the ratio quality/price is really good. My wife and I agree: Poorly cooked, poorly presented food. We left as soon as we could without finishing our plates. The risotto was gloopy mush. The sliced zucchini and Auvergne were the same. The fish served on them was totally over cooked. The pieces of scallop were identifiable only from their color and shape. I questioned the dish presented as my escargot crumble casserole starter because there were no escargots visible in it after the first forkful. The waitress recommended looking harder underneath. Before dinner drinks should have served as a warning. The waiter said he visited Munich several times when his sister lived there, after proposing a Warsteiner wheat beer on tap which I qu...
