"Cenare ad Otranto durante le serate estive non è proprio l'attività più rilassante del mondo, eppure questo localino ci ha fatto proprio dimenticare la folla che c'è tra le viuzze di questo bellissimo borgo. Abbiamo trovato un tavolo nella stradina in discesa che costeggia uno dei lati del locale (quello posto non sulla via principale) e, nonostante la strada in discesa, è decisamente consigliabile rispetto agli altri posti. Inoltre l'illuminazione ed i dettagli in generale creano un'atmosfera veramente carina. Il menù non è prettamente della tradizione, ma prevede tanti piatti a base di pesce crudo (e non solo) molto interessanti. Menù tra l'altro disponibile in maniera digitale forse un pò troppo lungo da leggere, ci sono veramente tante scelte e tutte molto interessanti: vorrà dire che bisogna tornare qui per provare altri piatti. Ottimi sia i panini (eccellente quello con tonno fresco) sia le tartare (buonissima quella al salmone). Abbiamo preso anche gamberi in tempura (sapore ottimo, anche se, a livello di prezzo probabilmente non convengono rispetto ai piatti di pesce crudo) ed una pokè stile hawaiano, anch'essa eccellente. Buonissima la frisella con tartare di tonno. Altra nota positiva sono le birre artigianali. Prezzo corretto, considerando di essere al centro di Otranto e di mangiare pesce crudo. Servizio molto gentile ed educato (cosa riscontrata sempre meno spesso nella nostra vacanza pugliese). Sicuramente torneremo!"

"Ristorante in pieno centro, molto curato e molto moderno. Personale gentile e molto professionale. Il menù è molto vario, noi abbiamo scelto un antipasto di mare che abbiamo trovato ottimo, molto interessante l'accoppiamento di gusti, da provare! Abbiamo proseguito con un fritto misto, anch'esso molto buono e privo di olio, e un primo di mare. Le porzioni sono abbondanti e il pesce è freschissimo. La cucina è raffinata e si percepisce lo studio dietro ai piatti. Il conto è giusto come il rapporto qualità prezzo. 58.50€ per un antipasto, un primo, un secondo, un calice di vino, acqua, una Coca-Cola e un caffè. Unica nota negativa il tempo di attesa, circa 30 min dal momento dell' ordinazione all'arrivo dei piatti. Essendo pieno agosto può essere capito. 5 stelle, molto consigliato!"

"I've discovered Friggitoria Otranto with a friend of mine by wandering through the old city center of Otranto (UNESCO heritage since 2010), where the smell of fresh fried fish captured us. The location is small but cozy, and just right out the entrance of the Torre Matta. You can taste different kinds of fried fresh fishes as well as some typical fried antipasti (like pittule). Friggitoria Otranto is even offering an interesting selection of Salentinian craft beers. Don't hesitate to try Friggitoria Otranto if you are looking for typical street food made by fresh fish. The price (IMHO) is just a bit higher than other competitors, but this is due to the beautiful location. Nothing to say about portions: very generous. We spent EUR 33,50 for 1 antipast of fried pittule, 1 portion of fried sardine and 1 portion of fried paranza, and 2 craft beers of 33 cl."

"We didn’t have a reservation, and we were seated at one of a few tables around the side in a bit of a walk-through alley, across from the kitchen. Turned out to be a fine spot to sit, and we had a great evening. A bruschetta and an antipasti plate which we shared, was lots as the plate was quite large. For our main, we had an orecchiette and also a bream dorada shared both of these as well. Dessert of spumone. Our waiter was a great fellow."

"during our holiday, affected by the many reviews, we booked a table for two people in this place. located between the alleys of otranto, there is possibility to eat both inside and outside on two levels! the tables have a mise en place cured in the details but simple at the same time, the quality of the food excellent but price a little high compared to the quantity served. menu paper with few courses and wines not very refueled! To report the service with the staff of the room will be that it was very professional but at the same time friendly so much to put us immediately at ease. only painful note the absence of spaghetti with curls, the dish was not available. sin because we wanted to try them."
