The lunch menu is very reasonable. The desserts are absolutely heavenly and impossible to resist! There’s a wide selection of local ales and beers, and the taps change frequently, keeping things interesting. The service is excellent—always timely and friendly—with beautiful old decor that adds to the charm. The lovely garden surroundings enhance the experience, and they’re almost open all day, even offering breakfast! We sometimes visit for special occasions like birthday dinners or Christmas Eve, which are very festive. However, we most often come for lunch or a casual dinner. When friends come to visit, we always take them here, and they always leave satisfied. We love this place!"

"First off, the owner was incredibly rude to my wife and I, but I overlooked it as the restaurant was extremely busy. (Just saying though that manners don 't cost a thing). Service was unbearably slow, despite there being a lot of staff. The food was bland and my wife has had dozens of trips to the toilet despite us both being able to handle spicy food. I want to extend my thanks to the front-of-house team for their warm welcome. Although we arrived a bit late, they were incredibly accommodating. Special thanks to Irvana (I hope I spelled that correctly) for providing excellent service! My steak experience took me on a nostalgic journey—like Anton Ego savoring his ratatouille in Gusto’s restaurant. It reminded me of a family meal in Holland during my childhood, where I had my first real steak. This may have even surpassed that memory! I was initially hesitant about dining at Miller and Carter since it's a chain restaurant, but if you're feeling the same way, let me assure you: don't be. While it may not be the cheapest option, it definitely deserves a smart-casual dress code that anyone who understands proper dining etiquette should respect. Curious, I browsed through other reviews, and I found it hard to believe anyone could leave a 1-star review without sounding like a “Karen.” It’s important to take reviews with a grain of salt—this is truly a fantastic restaurant! "excellent culinary experience (again) though this time for me as vegetarian. rank in advance 're food options bit should 't have worried as they have a full a la carte vegetarian menu lasting. such a glorious tasty, great attention to taste, texture and visuals, interesting taste collaborations and a cheeky dessert with white chocolate and a dill sorbet that sounds tricky but beautiful. the waiting staff and the sommelier again first advise, know and chatty. would certainly recommend"

"had a fantastic meal for the 8 of us here in this stunning pub restaurant in piries they simply put the carfax off. really nice atmosphere over the place and our server, alison, could not do enough for us and was so friendly helpful. I had the baked Saint-Marcellin cheese as starter and was very delicious. rindmeat bourguignon as main course and again very tasty. large selection of drinks and I had the fresh pilsner urquell from the tanks that was magnificent. outside the dining area was especially great in the evening with the fairy lights etc. each recommend for a beautiful meal."
