My daughter and I stopped by for a cup of tea and had a wonderful experience. The staff was fantastic and the place was beautiful.

Good service, spicy cauliflower a beautiful starter, generous portions for net, relaxing pub atmosphere. Not many other places to eat in Melrose in the evening so well worth a try.

I believe the management is new and although I don't know what changes they've made I can certainly say we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food was fantastic and the service great. Highly recommended.

A group of 11 of us descended, unannounced, for lunch. The staff were lovely, and the food was plentiful and delicious. A nice ambiance enhanced by the presence of Charlie and olive two lovely black labs. Thanks for having us.

The staff and patrons at this restaurant were very friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the Soup and Sandwich meal, especially the homemade soup. It was a great bonus to find a pub that is dog-friendly. I will certainly return when I am in the area.

For a main meal, the only vegan option is a burger. I did. It was expensive, but pretty good. There was also a spiced cauliflower on the menu as a starter I didn't have. Inspired. I recently enjoyed a delightful meal at this restaurant. Every aspect of our experience was outstanding. The food was cooked perfectly, the wine selection was excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was charming, and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be returning for another visit.

there are not many vegan options in melrose for an evening meal, so we eat here, although there are only two vegan options on the whole menu now the soul seasoned flower flower starter and the vegan gardenburger. eating was good, but not very inspiring some vegan cheese on the burger would go a long way! unless they add more options to their menu in future again I do not think we will be back.
