"After being loyal patrons for several years, we were apprehensive when the restaurant changed ownership earlier this year. However, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the new owner maintained the original charm of the establishment. Unfortunately, during our recent visit, we noticed that the restaurant may be losing touch with its strengths. The prices have increased noticeably, though not exorbitantly. We were disappointed to pay over £95 for a mediocre meal, only to be greeted by branding that seemed to mock the local community as unsophisticated and cheap. This portrayal couldn't be further from the truth, as Kendrick's has always attracted a discerning clientele. The new artwork, which appeared unprofessional and childish, did little to enhance the ambiance. The service was lackluster, with our wine being carelessly presented and the overall quality declining as the evening progressed. Despite these setbacks, there is still potential for Kendrick's to succeed. The new owners should revisit the restaurant's previous success in Dartmouth and strive for a more refined dining experience. Improving the overall service, returning to a consistent standard of food, and reevaluating the branding would help elevate Kendrick's back to its former status as a top mid-range restaurant in Dartmouth."

Kendrick’s has a great atmosphere and always seems to be busy. The front of house services is friendly and polite. The food is excellent and the price is fairly reasonable.

We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Food is good, service is friendly, attentive and efficient. Recommend that you book in advance because it gets busy.

A fantastic meal at Kendricks. This place is surrounded by fish restaurants and offer something completely different ribs, burgers, fajitas, The staff are fantastic and the food delicious.

wow, what a wonderful culinary tasty kendalls Easter menu offered. the food was excellent with exceptionally well balanced and thoughtful ingredients. fantastic value at £30 for 2 courses and £36 for 3 courses. loved every minute.

Mexico Meets Devon We ordered wings nachos ribs fish gosh it was good served rapidly and delicious food . They even trusted us when we popped out to watch the red arrows fly past. I loved this place only one slight niggle tables bit squashed in.

After spending a week in Dartmouth, our top choice for dining is definitely this restaurant. The service provided by the staff is exemplary, and the food and cocktails are truly outstanding. The ribs, black salmon, and secret garden cocktail were especially delicious.

Omg!!! We had the ribeye medium rare and it was spot on for both me and my partner. We also had the half rack of ribs to share and we polished them off too. The food was excellent and the staff were so attentive to our needs. We had a picky lil lady with us too. They were patient and understanding. We will definitely come back again when visiting the area.

We decided to visit this restaurant without a reservation, and even though they were quite busy, they were able to accommodate the two of us. We were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. We started off with a delicious baked brie dish (which we wish we had ordered one each). My wife enjoyed the blackened salmon entree, while I tried the monkfish and prawn curry, both of which were excellent. We will definitely be returning the next time we are in Dartmouth.
