"Three of us went here on a Saturday night to treat ourselves to dinner on the way home from the Pyramidenkogel. The reviews are really good : We hadn 't reserved, but were able to get a seat. We ordered the food at 7:45 p.m. and asked for the first time at 8:20 p.m. what time it was for the food, because we are starving and would like to be home before it gets dark. We ordered two salads and one cheese spaetzle, nothing that is difficult to do or time-consuming for the chef. When asked, the master of the house immediately checked when we had ordered and said: Normally you have to reckon with 1.5 hours and that we were still well on time. The food finally came after 50 minutes. As for the food, it has to be said that it was excellent. Portions are big, taste was very good. Due to the waiting time and the rather unmotivated waiters, we deduct a star. In general, the waiters provided rather little service. The young waiter who brought the drinks was trying but he poured out a lot. Unfortunately, the other waiters forgot things or forgot orders. The master of the house was always present, always helpful and always checked if everything was ok. Because of the waiting time we were offered a schnapps, which we declined. We can recommend the Karawankenblick restaurant (run by the third generation with a clear conscience. Especially to people without time pressure. We was there 25.12 and it was perfect. I have a gluten free diet and it was not problem with altought in the menu is nothing. Portions are to big, food is tasty and normal prizes. Cindly personal. I like it.

Immer wieder gerne Wir fühlen uns immer wohl. Wir waren die letzten Jahre immer zu zweit dort. Dieses Jahr das erste mal mit den Kids. Wirklich Hammer : Personal immer freundlich Chef immer dabei und nah am Gast. Auf Kinder eingestellt. Riesen Spielplatz eingezäunt am Restaurant. Spielzimmer im Innenraum. Essen immer lecker und reichlich. Wenn man draußen sitzt hat man ein wunderschönen Ausblick. Wir kommen jedes Jahr und freuen uns jetzt schon auf nächstes Jahr Kid-friendliness: 100% Top

We had a fantastic time in Restaurant Karawankenblick. This is a family style restaurant with traditional local dishes. We went there on Friday during lunch time and were able to get a table without reservation. The place might get very busy in the weekends and during holidays. The service was excellent and fast, and we simply loved everything. My salad was seasoned to perfection, and the breaded chicken pieces were crispy and delocious. We also had dessert which were also very tasty. Highly recommended.

Superb food, extremely service-minded and friendly staff, very nice interior (at least in some rooms of the restaurant), fantastic playground outdoors, reasonable prices. Too bad you don't have much of a view although situated half way up the mountain with a lovely surrounding area. Indoor playground is a joke, although surprisingly they at least have one which is not at all common in places like this. Overall you get very good value for money and when the weather is good it should be the perfect choice for families with kids!
