"Questo posto, Danilo Micheli e sua moglie meriterebbero di rientrare molto più di altri tra quelli stellati. Siamo arrivati ad Ortigia a metà di Aprile, e cercavamo un buon ristorante dove cenare. Dopo aver fatto una cernita perché in Sicilia si mangia bene e non lo si può negare optiamo per Kantunera. Contatto Danilo tramite il numero indicato sul sito web e subito riesce ad accontentarci trovandoci un posticino. Il locale è piccolo e intimo con dei coperti all’esterno, ma la cosa che ho amato di più è stata la cucina a vista. Vedere preparare i piatti dal padrone di casa è sempre un onore e un piacere per me quando entrò in un ristorante. Indica trasparenza, condivisione quello che in fondo la cucina e lo stare a tavola rappresenta. L’uscita dei piatti è scandita dal vostro tempo a tavola. Qui nulla è lasciato al caso. Ma ora passiamo ai piatti. Ordiniamo dei polipetti che al primo boccone ci rapiscono. Sembrano fatti di burro. Tenere, saporiti appena saltati e conditi in modo semplice ma che sono un’esplosione di sapori e profumi. Questo a dimostraZione del fatto che le materie prime utilizzate sono fresche e scelte con cura. Abbiamo preso poi un formaggio Poi siamo passati ai primi sapori bilanciati, decisi ad ogni boccone. Abbiamo poi concluso con il dolce anche questo buonissimi. Vi invito se siete ad Ortigia ad andare oltre la ricerca del locale perfetto vista mare e cercare la qualità. Qui ne troverete tanta. Grazie a Daniele e il suo staff per le ore piacevoli e goduriose trascorse nella sua cucina. Nella speranza di poter ritornare presto."

excellent dinner, sin the reserved table but relegated in a corner almost on the road. Luckily my children eat fish otherwise not even the shade of fries or roast. perfect for couples or small group of friends.

Sunday summer lunch. restaurant in the centre of the area: superlative food, especially purple shrimp on the bed of stracciatella in photo, but also delicious and fried tartare. the owner was very kind, friendly and very helpful. mandatory stop for those who pass here, unmissable

a memorable dinner! we took 2 appetizers, two first accompanied by two glasses of white wine, and to conclude two desserts and a limoncello offered by the house. the raw shrimp appetizer really moving, and the first not less. very kind staff and very fast service. 100 euro well spent. recommended!

recommended! the owners are very kind and behind every dish there is part of their lived, stay with them to talk after the dinner was beautiful. care everything in detail, from the choice of fish to the combinations of the dishes, they also make the panettoni to the pistachio excellent. Un'esperienza culinaria. Non si può venire in Sicilia, oggi nello specifico ad Otranto e non gustarne i piatti. Da siciliano, ritengo che il cibo qui faccia parte del viaggio. Il pesce era fantastico. In due abbiamo ordinato 2 antipasti (gamberetti aromatizzati con mentuccia e tartare di ricciola) e 2 piatti principali ,linguine con ricci e tonno.Dessert e grappa. Un tripudio di gusto. Il tutto accompagnato da un Gorghi Tondi. Location stupenda, Ortigia.

the best ortigia restaurant, we were twice taking different dishes, and I can't decide which one was the best. the search for combinations and the quality of the products, make these dishes sublime. then there are them, the boys who work with us, who have always welcomed us in the best way, satisfying all our needs. "a dinner in general good, though with some dripping. the quality of raw materials is certainly excellent but not always appreciated at the most. I felt a bit on the roller coaster with a beaten finish. Although the place I like for its modern and minimal style, I find that there is a lack of personality and identity. the atmosphere is elegant and welcoming. the service was accurate, punctual and never intrusive. special mention to the sommelier who recommended me a great wine and a novelty for me, with the menu degotato. begins with a degotation of oil and focaccia.
