"Twelve of us went for dinner on a Saturday night at 7pm. The ground floor was mostly full and the upstairs dining area was closed. It seemed like the service was slower than usual, possibly due to short staff. The waiting staff were nice and polite, but there just weren't enough of them. However, the food was excellent, with very tasty and authentic dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back to eat here again. It's also been added to my list of places to order takeout from."

Absolutely delicious! The menu has a mix of old favourites and something a bit different. Excellent value too. Lots of choice for veggies and vegans.

Authentic Indian food! We really loved the food here, especially lamb shank (nali). It was mouth watering food with right amount of spices. Would surely come back.

Good place for a nice meal. The only downside is that they close by 9.30pm. Food is of good quality and freshly made. Been here few times and the food was good always.

Lovely food and well presented starters. Mango mojito was top . I would recommend this restaurant and try “different” indian experience compare to all the same food you get in indian fast foods around. Voir le carte

Highly recommend! Lovely friendly service, a very relaxed atmosphere with nice background music playing. Delicious food! The Lamb Ragda curry is a must. We also really loved the Old Delhi Gilafi seekh kebabs.

We have dined at this restaurant several times and have always enjoyed the food. We ordered lamb, chicken, and naan bread with rice. We also tried a couple of cocktails, which were delicious. This restaurant is a great spot for authentic and delicious Indian cuisine.

Yet again this seriously genuine (having been to India a couple of times on holiday Indian Street Food restaurant ticked all out boxes. The starters we recommend (and had before! are the paneer with grilled pineapple, the puri and the deconstructed samosa. The staff are delightful, the ambience relaxing and can’t think we would ever need to choose another Indian locally. Oh and we stuffed ourselves all for £30/head with a generous and well deserved tip! Voir le carte

The amazing food served in this delightful little restaurant transported us to back to our youth and the streets of Calcutta. The flavours of the Pani Puri and the succulent Hyderabad Chicken Biriyani were perfect and the meat in the Lamb Ragda was plentiful and tender. We finished with a delicate Pistachio Kulfi (ice cream) and smooth sweet Gulum Jab. If you are looking for authentic Indian food in Hale in very pleasant surroundings with excellent service this place is a hands down winner. Enjoy.

Located in the heart of Hale, this Indian restaurant is a true hidden gem. The food surpasses all other Indian restaurants we have visited in the area. The dishes are genuine Indian street food, not adapted for a Western palate. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance and decor are stunning. Every dish we sampled was flawless and absolutely delicious. This is authentic Indian cuisine at its best. Treat yourself to a memorable culinary experience by visiting this restaurant.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
