"At Donna Elvira Restaurant you can eat some very special food. Forget the typical Cilento food. The chef offers some delicious and high standard dishes, made of the best local ingredients and always with a touch of magic. So people who expect to find the standard cousine must look elsewhere because this is not that kind of restaurant. There is a huge selection of local and Italian wines, a sommelier that can help you finding the right bottle for your tastes. The waiters are well instructed and the table is elegant, at candlelight. Whether you choose the offer of their degustazione menù or, as we did, you choose a la carte what you like the most, you will be delighted by very special tastes and never banal servings. This is a classy and top lever restaurant that absolutely deserves a visit or more than one! You only have to be sure you like this class and have the money to pay for it. By the way, the prices are high but not crazy compared to the quality of the food. A must go!"

"Sono stato in questo bellissimo ristorante una sera di luglio. Non avevamo prenotato e dopo un po' di attesa il gentilissimo personale ci ha trovato un tavolo per due. I piatti proposti sono principalmente tutti a base di pesce, dall'antipasto al dolce sono una meraviglia per il palato e per gli occhi. Gli ingredienti usati sono di qualità superba, il pesce proposto era freschissimo. Ho potuto vivere questa esperienza culiraria in maniera molto rilassata, il personale sempre attento alle esigenze del cliente senza mai essere troppo pressante. Ristorante pulitissimo, bagni idem e l'atmosfera che si vive è davvero molto cordiale e familare. Ritornerò sicuramente per un altro weekend rilassante e proverò le altre meraviglie presenti sul menù stagionale. Prezzo allineato al servizio, cibo e luogo proposto. Non è un prezzo alto ma davvero molto giusto per quello che offrono. Assolutamente da provare se capitate in questo bellissimo luogo. CONSIGLIO: ristorante sempre molto affollato, prenotate sempre prima."

"Oggi 12/09/2019 Montecorice di sera , girando per il paesino ho notato un ristorantino molto molto carino, sono subito entrato ed il proprietario Verniere ci ha accolti con gran cortesia e simpatia. Ho mangiato un primo piatto ai frutti di mare veramente spettacolare di un sapore unico, seguito da un abbondante frittura mista di pesce freschissima di pescato. Per finire dolce casareccio buonissimo. Ragazzi se passate per qst posto lo consiglio vivamente soprattutto perché oltre che tranquillo ha una location molto romantica . 5 stelle tutte meritate."

"What a find this was! Its on the rooftop of the Hotel Antoinetta just off the main square in this lovely town. Not to be confused with the restaurant downstairs (which is pretty good too! . I would strongly recommend booking, not because its busy, but just so the widest range of fresh seafood and meat is there for you to choose from. There's no real menu as such but you are greeted by the owner/chef who will talk you through what he has available as its all seasonal and local. The choice will range from the catch of the day brought up from the harbour to some really top quality perfectly aged steak. Whilst your choice of fish (sea bass, bream and several local fish we hadn't come across before or meat is being cooked before your eyes on the grill you are treated to a superb range of antipasti. These aren't huge amounts, but enough to whet the appetite and leave room for that freshly grilled main course which comes with a delicious selection of grilled vegetables. There's a decent enough wine selection which is pretty much all typical of the local Campania region from the same producer. Presentation of the food is wonderful and the taste does not disappoint. We had to revisit a few nights later it was so good. The price is reasonable too when compared to the other two main restaurants just across the square. All this is done by the chef/owner who is passionate about his food. His English was better than our Italian and he was delighted to explain the origins of his food. Nothing was too much trouble for him and everything is done with a beaming smile. This great night out was rounded off by a local digestif on the house. I hope to go back to this region soon and this place will be high on my list of places to go back to."

"only ocita from this very slow restaurant where I will not return easily. in an hour and 40 from the arrival, we served only a cod appetizer, however cold, little and nothing. Waiting. we kindly asked full bread because white was faded. no one came any more, but we have brought patience. the fact that at that point no one around us of the 15 tables was eating made us unthinking. we asked if we had the opportunity to eat at least the first dish and the evasive answer of the waiter we asked for the bill. gruesomely, we had an account of 51, 50 euros. they did not even have the kindness to explain or apologize for the inefficient service. education and courtesy are essential in public service. I'm sorry, but the vote is 0."
