Yes, it’s always a pleasure to stop in Orbetello and visit this “hidden” restaurant, really off the beaten tracks, just close to the train station of Monte Argentario. This year I tried the “mousse di spigola”, really excellent, reminding me the “baccalà mantecato” I like a lot! Also the spaghetti with vongole veraci were delicious. And to celebrate my fish dinner, a huge tuna steak. Bill not cheap but..it’s worth to go there, if you wish to eat good fish!

Strange location for this very good restaurant, hidden behind the railway “tirrenica” (Rome Ventimiglia). The restaurant itself looks like an old Italian “trattoria”, so it’s not modern neither fashioned. On the contrary, the point of strength is the quality of the food, fish in particular. Spaghetti with the “spigola” (sea bass): the tomato sauce mixed with the fish was outstanding! Calamari (Squid) with lemon sauce: excellent. Cozze (Mussels) alla marinara: tasty! The quality of course is not for free: the budget for 3 (with wine and water) is around 100€ but you never regret the bill. Voir le carte
