"We hadn't been to Hayward's for years, actually forgot about it. So decided to pay a visit. Had the lunchtime surprise 4 course meal. The food was beyond expectations, each course was sublime don't want spoil the surprise by revealing the actual courses), balanced, well presented and delicious and good value for money. The service was attentive. The wine, had a bottle of Torrontés which was excellent. This restaurant is miles better than some of the well known expensive names in London. Will definitely revisit."

"Went for Xmas works lunch. Food was ok but over priced. Waitress was disinterested and looked like she didn't want to be there. Considering is was Christmas there wasn't a cracker or anything festive on the tables at all. So all in all a bit disappointing and wont be going back!"

"My partner and I were looking for somewhere to grab lunch in the afternoon on NYE. I found the Horseshoes on a Google search, so booked a table as it looked good. It's a cute little countryside feel, cozy pub. Upon first looking at the menu (which has quite a lot of options), the prices seemed slightly higher than some other places in the area, but the waiting staff said that the portions come out large they weren't wrong! Food was very good and excellent value for money. I had the sausage and mash, and a side of onion rings. My other half had the pork bellies and we shared a side of cream spinach. Was all great. Total bill came to £50 (including one alcoholic drink and a soft drink). Staff were attentive and friendly. Food came out fairly quickly. Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options."

"So glad we dropped in here for a meal tonight, bearing in mind it is a pub and quite noisy the food was excellent and at a very reasonable price, homemade chips were delicious as was the honey roast ham, hubby thourghly enjoyed his chilli con carni too. Service was exceptional and very attentive. Will definitely pop back in when we pass this way again."

"I am not in the habit of writing bad reviews but approaching the manager, in person, and by then by email elicited a dismissive response in the first instance and no response at all in the second. Food was fine, the cafe, it 's garden centre and parking area were all well maintained and very pleasant, prices were fine, serving were helpful and efficient but beware of going with a group on a cold or wet day. Our big group table was in the heated conservatory area at the front of the cafe. That was ok for those seated at the far end of out table, away from the wide open entrance door to the outside, and those sitting under a heater, but I was near the door and was freezing throughout, even in a padded full length coat and using the cafe 's chair sheepskins as a draught stopper and a lap blanket. The floor was covered in weather proof matting which was sodden as the rain got underneath the conservatory sides and onto or under the matting. Coats and bags touching the floor got wet, as did my feet. It took me long time to get warm. I won 't be going again."
