We threw a party for Dad's 94th, Rick, his wife and his Harbour Trawler came to cater for us. The best fish and chips, we all agreed. It made the party. Can not thank them enough.

Been using this fish chip take away for years Felbridge. Always been high standard and good portion size. Usually ring pick up. Never a problem. Today ordered for delivery. 2 large cod chips. Delivered cold ‘fries’ in chicken box like kids meal! Not good!!

Bought fish and chips on a night out. Portions were notably smaller and disguised in an oversized box and bag. Fish was of good quality, chips were not at their best. Also as it was a takeaway we didn't realise till we opened the package, there were no serviettes or forks. So a one time only visit. Service: Take out Meal type: Other

Visiting the area from Lincolnshire, staff in Waitrose recommended this and it was superb. Haddock and Chips, a bit pricey compared to ooop north but very tasty. Staff very friendly. "We are currently staying with our friend in Forest Row for the month of December whilst she recuperates from a hip replacement operation. The added bonus is that we have managed to go to Roochi twice during our stay, once just my husband and I then the second time our friend joined us. Like normal, we were warmly greeted by the boss, Saiful Hussain, and his staff who are so friendly, helpful and can't do enough for you. Every dish we had was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and the portions are huge. On our second visit I left my gloves behind, and one of the staff ran out to stop us getting into the car to return them to me. Thank you! Just one word of warning: it is advisable to book a table in advance as this is a very popular restaurant, not forgetting that it also does take away service as well as eat in, so the kitchen gets very busy. Many thanks to Saiful and his staff for making us feel so welcome and feeding us so well. It is excellent value for money particularly considering the quality of the food itself. We look forward to coming back again when we're next staying in Forest Row probably the end of February!"

"I would have to be incredibly desperate to dine at this restaurant again. When we were seated, the loud pop music made it impossible to have a conversation. We ordered lime and lemonade, but the waitress had to go buy the lemonade, causing a significant delay. I requested for the music to be changed and the volume lowered, only to have it replaced by a crying baby and a toddler banging their cutlery on the table constantly. While I understand that children need to eat, there should be boundaries in place in restaurants. Additionally, the staff behind the bar were talking loudly the entire time. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious, but it was not enough to justify spending 47 pounds."

"We ate here for the first time and will definitely return. Lots of dishes to choose from. This is not your run if the mill curry house. It has many dishes that you don't often see, as it has a proud Nepalese heritage. The food was absolutely amazing, lovely spices, great taste. The staff are very attentive. I didn't know a lot of the dishes on the menu, but the staff took time to explain. A great variety of beers and wine, too. The venue is well spaced out, light and airy with fantastic Himalayan pictures, etc. It is a stand-alone building off the A22 and has plenty of parking. Everything is on one level for the restaurant, so it should be great for people of all physical abilities. Highly recommended."

"Very nice place, I wasn't expecting to be this nice since its a bit far away from everything, but the food was delicious, we had some spicy soup and for main yellow curry chicken with rice (I forgot to take a picture). The meal was delicious, the prices are good and the service is great the ladies working there are super friendly people. Next time around I will be back trying the other items, there is a lot of dishes to choose from."

"Came across this pub after not getting a table at a few other ones. We love a local and it suited us fine. Ordered drinks at the bar and sat in garden. Lovely chats with local people. We ordered 2 Roast Beef Dinners. How disappointed we were. The beef was soooooo tough we could not eat it. Not helped by the fact it was sliced so thick. Also Roast beef but no English Mustard! Must say that the stuffing was excellent. We did tell the waitress that the Beef was awful, but she was young and didn't want to make an issue of it as not her fault. Lovely local pub, but would not recommend the roast beef"
