"On a sunny, crispy December morning, it was time for the Yelpy Brunch at Hamilton 's. Well it was fun, staff were friendly and attentive, they coped well with our ever increasing table (well, we squeezed in as we 're a friendly bunch) and offering a separate brunch menu is a nice touch. As Jenny L explained, its not an extensive menu but it is full of 'brunch ' type offerings so does ok and offers big breakfasts, breakfast rolls, veggie and gluten free options. The gluten free option (one listed) is ok if you don 't have a problem with eggs. Yep, I 'm weird. I like omelet 's, tortilla and frittata but try and feed me an egg scrambled, poached, fried or boiled and I freak out. It can 't even be on the same plate. Luckily Hamilton 's cobbled together a gluten free option (bacon, beans, tomato, spinach, salmon and mushrooms) for me. It was ok, but 3 starts only as the spinach was really grainy. Like chewing on a mussel which wasn 't cleaned properly and getting silt and sand. I ended up leaving some on my plate as it was really off putting. Everything else was ok, but as David J mentioned, another rasher or two of bacon would have been great, so a very big plate, but the portions appear smaller. I would go back here not sure for brunch but poor Hamilton 's is probably being reviewed on the back of me weaning myself off Dottie 's in San Francisco where I became addicted to brunch (10 days since Dottie 's not a happy celebration). I think it would be a nice option for lunch with a group of friends and it seems to be dog friendly too so I think I 'll be back here in the next few weeks. I 'm not sure how GF it would be for lunch having not viewed the menu, but having some awareness of GF and allergies and this is noted on the menu, is a start and I 'm sure there would be a few choice items worth sampling."

This charming neighborhood restaurant offers a relaxing ambiance, delicious food, and fantastic live music (singer/guitar) on Sunday evenings! The friendly waiter adds to the wonderful atmosphere.

Fantastic breakfast and excellent service! The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that the kitchen sometimes overlooks requests or gets orders wrong. Still, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for great food at good prices!

To top it off, we waited an additional 30 minutes for our bill while I tried to catch the attention of the staff—anyone, really! That sums up our experience. The only redeeming quality was the surprisingly pleasant atmosphere. It’s a nice spot to enjoy drinks with friends, but I would definitely advise being cautious about ordering food.

No complaints really. Hamilton's is a relaxing place with some good vibes for a mid week afternoon drink (before the suits take over) however the pop art wallpaper is a bit contrived. I had a bitter house wine, which was my fault for ordering because at the end of the day I don't like wine and end up panic buying it at least once a week. I had a lovely well made coffee when the headache kicked in. Sadly I couldn't be tempted to try the menu, even by the open kitchen. It seems generic and a teency bit overpriced. Voir le carte

We were pleased to find this restaurant off the beaten path for a lovely dinner. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The food was fantastic! My wife ordered the steak with a salad and chips, and I took a couple of delicious bites—it was cooked to perfection! My fish and chips were incredible! The crispy beer batter, paired with tasty tartar sauce and perfectly cooked potatoes, provided a delightful dining experience. The flavors were excellent, the presentation was superb, and the overall atmosphere was cheerful! Joshua, our server, made us feel right at home.

My mom and I had breakfast at this restaurant after noticing it while walking near our Airbnb. We were curious about it and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did! The place wasn't crowded, so the service was quick, and the atmosphere was really enjoyable, featuring cozy couches, a spacious bar, and great music. The breakfast was delicious, hearty, and served warm. I ordered a dish that came with sausage, which was absolutely fantastic. The coffee was also good. Although we didn’t try the drinks, the cocktail menu looked intriguing with many unique and original options that you wouldn't find elsewhere. I highly recommend this place!

Now, let’s get to the point. The fish and chips at Hamilton's are truly fantastic. They arrive beautifully presented on a rustic wooden board, accompanied by tubs of tartare sauce and mushy peas (which I find a bit odd), as well as a light side salad with fresh greens. While I prefer my chips to be a little crispier, the incredibly flaky fish, battered in rich golden breading, easily compensated for any minor flaws in the chips. Additionally, Hamilton's has a great selection of food and drinks. If you're a fan of chorizo, you have to try the roast chicken dish. They also have a variety of draught beers available. Overall, Hamilton's is definitely a pub worth visiting. Even though we were di... Voir le carte

I wanted to give this a 3.5 star review, but alas I've opted to round down rather than up. The setting is very nice indeed and I can see that it would be equally well suited to a busy evening crowd as it was to our Sunday brunch gathering. The food looked good and they use tasty fresh ingredients I had a full Scottish, though would have loved it to be a bit fuller with perhaps a second rasher or a little more toast. There were a few touches that could have been overcome. I understand that they very rarely take reservations, so it was a surprise to hear that they couldn't add an extra table to our setting when the place was all but empty at the time. Nevertheless the staff were friendly and b...

Hamilton's is a perfectly nice wee bar in Stockbridge, and quite a popular haunt for people living in the area, so it's fairly busy all week long. It's relatively fresh on the scene, as it opened in 2008, so looks very polished and cleanly finished. The atmosphere here is chilled out and relaxed, to the extent that you can happily sit bantering away over a drink for a while, but it's not sink into your seat relaxed, I would still try and make my face look semi-nice for coming in here, as it's definitely more stylish bar then totally laid back pub. There's a small restaurant section in Hamiltons, with some cool comic strip wallpaper design going on, and I've never had an issue with anything I...

"In would say the four star rating at the time of this review is about right, perhaps a 3.7 or so to be more precise... I've had a bit better, but I've certainly had far worse. I went for the Filet with Haggis and a Whiskey Cream Sauce... I don't know what it is about me, but anything paired with haggis is a must try! I must admit it actually worked well. The steak was probably cooked a bit more than I expected for medium rare, but it was quite nice in the middle and to be honest is closer to how I tend to like it... it just seems in the UK medium rare usually equates to what I would consider medium... I'm not sure if this is a US thing or a southern thing, but over the years it seems a pretty consistent observation. (Side note, two of my coworkers said the steaks were cooked a bit better on their last visit, attributing it to being slower that particular evening versus quite busy this visit. The roast potatoes were also good, nice and crisp, with the vegetables being a bit of a let down... not terrible, just your standard sprinkle of mixed vedge. (Having a decent flavour in their defence, if vegetables could actually have a defence. As a starter the group had garlic bread (one with cheese and one without ... they were the flat almost pizza type, but again... pretty good. Having willpower for once I only sampled a dessert, vanilla ice cream with a shot of espresso, but I was impressed with the sample and the number of offerings. The same can be said for the main menu, there was a lot on offer which can sometimes be a warning sign and luckily didn't seem to be this time... everyone was happy enough with what they ordered. The service was perfectly adequate and just friendly enough, and the place itself is also fine. I think the big thing with this place was that perhaps my expectations were raised a bit high based on some of the reviews, so tread carefully if you're expecting fireworks... that said, if you're looking for a decent Italian meal and are in the area it's certainly worth a try... I wouldn't say no if invited back."
