"Absolutely brilliant from entering this fantastic restaurant. It was beautiful from the hosts (Anabelle and Lauren), who could not be more welcoming, friendly, entertaining and always smiling. The food was wonderful. My lemon sole was so much better than at Rick Stein's. The food was to die for, Peter the chef is a food magician, it has just entered into my top 3 restaurants in the world. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will definitely be back."

"A very nice place to stay and Ash and Debbie the owners are always pleased to do everything to make your stay special. The choice of breakfasts is substantial and the cooked breakfast are excellent. It is conveniently situated within walking distance of Padstow along a path just across the road from the B&B and not far from Wadebridge. I would also recommend the evening Bistro. The food is excellent. I don't think you could get better. Well Don Debbie, Ash and Adam."

"I had the best meal of the weekend at this restaurant! We started off with a complimentary bread basket and butter, which set a high standard for the rest of the meal. The starters were amazing - we tried scallops, mackerel, and monkfish scampi, all of which were perfectly executed and presented beautifully. For the main course, we all went for steak and the peppercorn sauce was the best we've ever had. My fillet needed a bit more cooking, but this was quickly rectified. I was the only one with room for dessert, so I went for the cheeseboard, which was also delicious. Overall, the food was exceptional and this restaurant is truly a hidden gem with a talented chef."

"We were looking for somewhere to eat on way back from Wadebridge and stumbled upon this garden centre. We arrived at 12pm and there was a queue of people waiting for tables both reserved and not. We had the dog so were a little worried we would not get in, however, we were seated in the last unreserved table. The set up is you pay for your food and are given a ticket to then go to the carvery and get your food, drinks are brought to the table. The food was amazing and a brilliant selection of meat (beef, pork, gammon and turkey) and so many vegetables. Puddings were also very good. It was slightly on the pricey side but you got a very good meal for your money. Would recommend."

"Inside, the restaurant was beautifully lit with candles, creating a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, the heating was only marginally sufficient to combat the drafts that were quite noticeable on a chilly February evening. I ordered a red Thai chicken curry served with special Thai rice, which featured ginger, coconut, and coriander. The chicken was marinated in an authentically spicy red curry and coconut sauce, enriched with kaffir lime leaves, fish sauce, fresh basil, and lemongrass. The dish was a delightful explosion of flavors. My wife, who enjoys fish but has a mild allergy to prawns, opted for salmon in a very satisfying Thai green curry made with homemade green curry paste, Thai ginger, kaffir lime leaves, and fish sauce, topped with fresh basil and coconut milk. It resulted in a truly exquisite blend of tastes. We paired our meal with Cobra beer, which we particularly enjoy with spicy dishes, and concluded with coffee. The restaurant offers an impressive selection of wines and spirits, along with a good variety of starters and desserts for those interested. It's evident that the commitment to high-quality food at The Journeyman is exceptional. We both had a delightful evening in a friendly and welcoming environment."
