"My husband and myself had the best value fish and chips we have had in years to day in Courtneys. The batter was light and the portion was huge. Very tasty, freshly cooked, All for under £8. The service was very friendly and quick. We...were made feel very welcome. They also have very nice outdoor tables and chairs with a view of the bridge . In good weather these would be a great idea for a nice coffee. A good place for nice food and good value."

"Great staff, great food. We had the garlic bread to start, then the chicken burger and beef burger as a main, I'll be honest I thought the look of the sides were a bit small but i was definitely stuffed. A little while later we shared the waffle desert, oh my! Is all that comes to mind. The food was so yummy and the staff so friendly and efficient. We had a great time in Ballini's. Oh and it was very reasonable. We were very happy customers and will be back. We finally re-visited. This was disappointing! The waiter didn't take our order down correctly then the staff were getting rude when we had to send it back twice. They then forgot the sauce we had ordered, when I asked, they were again not polite. When the sauce finally arrived it was lumpy. The meat/chicken on our burgers were great, but the baps were burnt, we didn't chance sending them back. The last time we visited (just 5 short months ago) we spent £80 in total and 3-4 hours enjoying the atmosphere and staff. This time we were so disappointed we barely spent £25 and stayed less than an hour."

"A short review, but wanted to raise the green positive flag to this simple but effective local bakery and restaurant. We popped in for a lunch as an alternative to the very poor hotel food served where we were, in close proximity to the Shelbourne. The Bakery is the frontage and it opens out to a restaurant at the back, comfortable, but busy, so be warned if you like quaint and quiet. It ain't. However, if you want an honest meal, well prepared, good value and reflective of traditional local flavors and ingredients, nothing lost to try something here. I had the excellent cod and chips, with a side of gravy (no comments please). I can say that the fish was well cooked, batter was crispy, fries were hot and tasty. Any extra asked for was brought promptly and efficiently. We had Apple pie and Ice Cream for dessert, again simple but tasty. We have eaten several meals here now, including breakfast and I would highly recommend it as an alternative to the more expensive hotel breakfasts in the neighbourhood. Try the gravy with the fries. It's a game changer."

"This lovely restaurant is located in Newry. The food was perfectly cooked, and I ordered the haddock as my main course. Cooking fish can be tricky, but The Oliver's Chef did an excellent job. The haddock had a light batter and was tender and delicious. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They even accepted euros as we didn't have British currency on hand. The restaurant quickly filled up on a Sunday afternoon, showing its popularity among locals. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Newry. The food was exceptional, the staff was fantastic, and the atmosphere was inviting. It's great value for money, and I highly recommend dining here. There is parking available right beside the restaurant with a nice view of the river. Shopping centers and the main street in Newry are also within walking distance."

"it is all to change again, but thanks to the coffee is ace really top notch, shaded and perfectly roasted. funny enough while we find the rich from latte to macchiato, cappuccino by flat white etc. gibraltar is nowhere to find, not as much as. the customized glass. the personal remains as cheerful as always, despite the fact that their business must be desperate, and their reasonable prices remain the same. it's only here again with another lock-off, but the policy doesn't call it a lock. These people are still paid, they enjoy nominated wage increases (imaginable that they can decide on their own wage increases and who have recently given their support staff (in many cases family members a wage (and associated pension) increase. maya like so many companies have lots of things at a theke near the door to sanitise and here is the thing that the type that makes the coffee I can go, feet stand from him and give him money to pay and take a coffee and change from him. but if he had this machine in his kitchen, I couldn't go for a free coffee in his house. I could work with him all day, but I could not sit for a beer with him in a local bar for half an hour, but we could meet in the local church for an hour service. So look. So they think about how important it is to help small independent, especially in these strange times when the only certain are dead, control and grab money, dishonest politicians."
