"After being advised that Golden Carp was the best in Fulda , I headed there. Many folks dining out in front of the hotel/restaurant, and my request for a solo dinner resulted in being seated inside. The only patron in the room. My starter was the scallops... 3 seared sea scallops on beds of onion, chutney tomato, and mango pineapple. Best course of the evening. The trout main was bland although the green sauce it rested on perked it up a little. When I finished and the plates removed, trying to get a server for the bill proved difficult. All the action seemed to be outside."

It is a good place to eat, in the heart of the city center, as part of a hotel. The environment is very warm, service is professional and fast. I had a very tasty lamb carre' and a surprising espresso. Overall a nice dinner

Had lunch in Goldener Karpfen after a long walk inthe Xmas market. Nice environment, romantic fashioned. Really excellent food (fish as well as meat), yet a little bit expensive for the average price of this small city. Nice and sympathetic waiters.

We stopped by here for dinner on route from Nuremberg to Hannover. Made an advanced reservation and was treated very well at the restaurant. We ordered a 07 Mouton Cadet, and had the beef carpaccio, fish and lamb rack. Food was excellent and totally enjoyable

Right in the Altstadt with plenty of outside seating, service professional and friendly. We had the 'light lunch ' menu and chose tuna carpaccio very thin and so soft it melted in the mouth then veal cooked like silverside tasty and for a...light lunch a very ample portion. Meal was only €26 for two courses and for this quality of food, service and ambience is untouchable. Heartily recommended as an oasis of calm and value.
