Go there often as a student as they serve a wide variety of Chinese food, great option for takeout. Very friendly service too!

Lots of options for chinese food in cambridge but this is probably the cheapest. Extensive menu. Don't get too picky about the quality... it ain't too bad.

Completely overrated, the place is super cheap. Honestly, what kind of food quality can you expect when everything on the menu has the same price? If it taste good it is just because of the spices and herbs. Good for going there once a month. Voir le carte

Lovely place, friendly staff, and amazingly cheap meal for two deal prices for other foods were also cheap. I'm not an expert on Chinese, but this seemed authentic (Chinese chef and staff), and we really enjoyed the food. A Chinese worth visiting in Cambridge!

I ate here a couple of times when I was staying on Regent Street. The prices are great, the food is INCREDIBLE! I don't get the complaints the staff were great (very patient and helpful) with me. I knew with the number of students who were in and out while I ordered that I had picked the right place. Choose the Golden House over any more highly priced chain restaurants in the area!

I rated this restaurant with 2 stars because the quality of ingredients has significantly declined recently. The squid is excessively salty, almost like anchovies, and it's unclear where this saltiness is coming from. The prawns seem to be from the frozen section, whereas they used to be much better in the past. It seems like the restaurant is facing some financial difficulties like others in the industry. I was excited to celebrate a couple of family birthdays at this restaurant. However, upon arrival, it was packed with a large 40th birthday party taking up most of the attention from the staff. Unfortunately, they were unable to handle the large crowd, resulting in numerous service mishaps throughout the evening. Some on our table had to wait for their food while others had already finished their course, rice was missing from the main meal, and we constantly had to remind the staff of our orders. Despite the well-cooked food, the disorganized service overshadowed our dining experience.

Don't care about the decor (or lack thereof) or the fact that there is seating for about 6 people max in this tiny place (it's primarily take-away anyway). The food is BOMB, like so so good. It is clearly a tiny, family establishment and I wish people would take that into account when they rant and rave about perceived customer service/delivery issues or the interior. Go to a massive, overpriced chain if you want that kind of thing. If you really care first and foremost about fantastic Chinese food, squeeze in here, or get it to go and eat in the park! The lovely owners have clearly put their heart and soul into this food and I think it's dirty pool to ignore that aspect of this small, delic...

If only Tripadvisor allowed for a 0 rating. Despite the restaurant receiving 4.7 stars on Uber Eats, my partner and I decided to give it a try due to its diverse Asian menu. We ordered Malay curry rice, sambal four-greens vegetables, tomato fried eggs, and lemon chicken. As a South Asian living in Europe for 6 years, I must say this restaurant should not be in business if they are serving such terrible food. The curry rice was nothing close to Malay, the sambal dish lacked any sambal flavor, the tomato fried eggs were watery, and the lemon chicken was dry and overwhelmed with lemon concentrate.
