"All the girls were miserable, no one asked how our meal was the answer would have been…awful, £16.50 for a child’s size roast with lamb full of gristle, a piece of hard grilled cauliflower, three lousy potatoes and some sort of brown tasteless water full of oil they call gravy… after paying for the meal we left and still said thank you to the staff and not one of the 5 waitresses who were stood staring into thin air even bothered to reply or even acknowledges us leaving. Terrible food, terrible service will not be returning."

"We are currently staying in Angarrack so wanted to make use of the local pub. So glad we visited! We have been 3 times during our week stay in Cornwall, twice for food. First of all the staff are so friendly and upbeat. They brought...our dog water and food at no extra cost! And nothing was too much trouble. Lovely traditional pub interior, no airs graces great atmosphere. They serve food from 5.30, most tables are reserved so I would recommend booking in advance especially on a weekend. I had the halloumi burger my husband had the beef burger. My daughter had the kids beef burger on one occasion and chicken goujons on the other. We also had the nachos to start which were the best I’ve ever had! Not soggy, freshly made with the cheese on top and then guacamole,salsa sour cream on the side in pots so it’s ideal if you don’t like them all you can pick and choose. The chips that came with the meals were also freshly made, not greasy seasoned to perfection! They were extremely generous with garnish/salad on the side of both meals as well as coleslaw, sauces, relish and onion rings! They were so generous with the halloumi on my main too! 2/3 slices. than enough on the meals for the price. £47 for 3 meals, starter a drink each is such good value and I couldn’t believe how nice the food was this is honestly the best food we’ve ever had! The only downside is that we live so far away to return anytime soon! But we will be back on our next visit to Cornwall x x"

"Ordered 3 Ragu Bolognaise and 1 pork meal and 2 portion of chips bought the pork and chips still waiting for our meal we eat the chips bought ours out 10 mins later and it was lukewarm sent all 3 meals back they just warned them up in microwave as the garlic bread was the same as I ate half then we ordered deserts again bought out the orange tort we waited for the creme brûlée 10 mins went by then the waitress said sorry you cannot have the brûlée as blow torch not working really disappointed then when I paid the managerss put at bottom of bill sorry no discount or even offered a free drink for us will not be going there again and will tell family and friends not to go as we had a bad experience"

"Love this laid-back place. We keep coming back. Great food, especially the cakes! We shared this tasty panini at lunchtime today, looking out over a rough sea after a blowy walk along the beach. Really friendly staff and super dog friendly too. Donate for a dog biscuit at the counter and your four-legged companion will be happy too. Back again in Oct 2020 for breakfast, which was delicious. Lovely and friendly as ever. Can't keep away! May 2022 and the friendly welcome and awesome breakfast still as good as ever. Our trips to Gwithian are not complete without coming here. Thanks for being as brilliant as always."

"I visited the farm shop today for a few items, it's a nice place stocked with all sorts of delicious produce and a proper butchers. Some things were a little expensive but you expect that from a farm shop. After shopping I really wanted a coffee and a quick bite to eat as it was approaching approaching the lady on reception she seemed to look me up and down and even though I could see lots of empty seating I was informed they where full. I think I was turned down because I had walking attire on and hadn't shaved....certainly that's what the look I was given felt like.I shan't go back to either the shop or restaurant and looking at the Incredibly high ratio of average, terrible and poor reviews they might not be there soon shockingly high. Seems management are not fit for task and have a very short sighted view of customers. The covid statement is acting like an apology for this poor customer regard. Its a shame as it seems one or a few people are going to cost a lot of people their livelihoods."
