"Booked as a Mothers Day celebration because there were no bookings available at the weekend. Had told my Mother that it was excellent, my favourite restaurant, the best place for miles for fillet steak etc etc. She was really looking forward to it. However, the...meal arrived on a cool plate, the chips were lukewarm, as was the steak and the onion loaf was cold. It was 6pm and the place was practically deserted with only 2 other people awaiting their meal. We sent both meals back and they returned at exactly the same temperature, except that the chips were now hot. We complained to the waitress and her reply was that she had seen the chips come out of the fryer. The two ladies at the next table also complained that their meal was not hot and they were given fresh chips. We then left as we felt that we were not going to receive a hot meal. We had both ordered fillet steak at a considerable but acceptable cost for a good quality meal, but not for food that was not hot. I have eaten there regularly since it opened but shall not do so again."

"Very disappointing. Took ages to be seated and the restaurant was cold, we were given a table right next to the service station so there were servers coming and going all the time. Asked what the Kansas caviar was and the waitress didn't know, which is something that you would expect them to, or for an explanation to be on the menu. The food was good but not spectacular and over priced. More interested in bums on seats than customer comfort that table should not be there. Also saw servers decanting mayo and other sauces into the same bottles. Can understand some sauces but mayo?? How old is that mix??? Sure other people enjoyed themselves but I personally wouldn't go there again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1"

"We stopped by for dinner and noticed that all the restaurant tables were decorated for Christmas dinners, except for ours and one other. The front lounge and bar were packed at 5:30pm. Unfortunately, it was not a good visit. The lasagne was bland with pale-looking mince and only six chips. The smothered chicken was tough as a Wellington boot. The staff were still lovely as always, but I think they were overwhelmed and understaffed that night."

"Visited this venue for the umpteenth time. Unfortunately it wasn’t our best visit. We arrived to be told we had been allocated a table in the restaurant even though the booking was with a dog. Thankfully there was one table left in the bar area. The table was very sticky. This may have been the cleaner they use. We had to hit the menu/condiment holder to loosen it. During this process one of our drinks was spilt straight into my wife’s lap, no offer to top it up. I asked for it to be topped up, then asked well how much had I drunk out of it. The staff’s response was the tables are always sticky, no apology. We ordered food which when it arrived was upto the usual standard. However when we tried ordering puddings, we were told that they were not taking any food orders for about 30 minutes. Excuse me, fresh orders I understand but when you have already had other course surely you prioritise existing diners. Usually we have no issues dining here but this time it was far below the normal standards."

"What a great place to eat. Always greeted warmly on entering. Very clean and tidy restaurant. We have been a few times now, and are working our way through the menu…which contains all of those dishes that we loved when we visited Thailand. The flavors are exactly right and this food is the real thing. Absolutely recommended by us for an authentic Thai dining experience. There’s a bargain lunchtime menu, but the full menu really isn’t expensive anyway. Give it a visit if you’re in the area, you’ll love it."
