I visited here twice in a month, once for business and once socially. Both times the quality of service, food and wines were exemplary Munich top tier.

Wonderful experience in a cool, well decorated and very friendly winebar. Wonderful and simple food, excellent wine list and wonderful help from staff. A top olace to go in Munchen and taste some wonderful national as well as international excellebt wines. Not to miss!

Had a long lunch with exceptional food and service. We were seated at a nice table in the corner amidst the hubbub of a full restaurant. We chose from the specials board after the waiter kindly translated for us. The venison and lamb main courses...were excellent and very well cooked and presented. The service was unhurried, thoroughly professional yet friendly at the same time. It was the high spot of a short break. Really good.

a cozy and welcoming place located in the excelsior hotel, about 15 minutes walk from the marienplatz. the menu is limited, but on good wise – the focus is on the wine. Everything fits well with the really amazing and extensive (non-arcating) wine...list we decided to ask our waiter on weincommands, as we wanted to learn more about German weeping. he led us to a very dry giant from her own weinberg. it was surprisingly dry and super. I would have given this place five stars if it wasn’t for one thing. The wine list is extensive and well priced. We had a bottle of white Rioja and ordered a large plate of cheeses. The waitress first brought a plate of prosciutto which...we assumed it was part of the cheese selection. When we got the bill, we were charged an additional €8 for it. We didn’t order any prosciutto. We were not sure whether it was deliberate or just a mistake (our server repeated the order to us so we ruled out a mistake). We paid as we ate the prosciutto but it spoiled an otherwise excellent experience.

My wife did the homework, finding Vinothek (pronounced Veenoh-Tek) as part of our Munich-Venice holiday sojourn. Her research was affirmed with a strong recommendation from our concierge (superb) at our excellent hotel (Eden Hotel Wolff). before the train to amsterdam we had two hours left for a decent lunch. it rained cats and dogs, so it had to be near the main railway station. but then we found vinothek of geisel, a beautiful, luxurious weinbar with an extensive...wine list of 46 pages, the most interesting wine areas of the world with a beautiful focus on weeps from the German-speaking countries, italia and france. they have a nice two curs luncmenu with drinks for 21 euro, but we ordered a la carte. prosciutto san daniele with mozarella on the side, marinated speck from valtellina, various brunette, pennette arrabiata, vitello tonatto and a large cheese plate with frutta di mostarda. most of the foods are Italian inspire...
