Gatsbys - Carte

Not great had pan seared chicken which was just about warm. Not much taste to it. Service OK. Table had not been cleaned. Not a great place to eat.

Been coming here for lunch for the last 3 years and the staff are fab to us and the food is always lovely don't know why people are giving it one star must be a mistake

My boyfriend and I checked this place out since we were visiting his family. Cool bar downstairs, super chill and then when you go up there’s other rooms with dancing. ‘Twas a fun night out. Voir le carte

today for lunch with my wife. the food was great and the portions were huge. very fast service, although there were some. the staff was very friendly and welcoming. the first time that I was, but will be there again.

Have eaten here many times over the past year and I have to say I'm consistantly impressed. Usually there is something on the weekly specials board for me but if not there is plenty of variety on a considered main menu. Great value and service make daytime dining in Gatsby a must when visiting the city centre.

We went here during a shopping trip to Sunderland. It’s a lovely, comfortable place, with friendly, efficient and helpful staff. We enjoyed a delicious and plentiful lunch from their specials menu for approx £9 each with a drink. It’s very conveniently situated in the main shopping area too. We were a party of 9 all ordered meals with fat chips only to be told after ordering and paying there none were available and would we have thin chips no other options, when the meal arrived with the chips were over cooked and hard, the flat bread was under cooked and doughy, the chicken curry was watery, as was the indian curry, I could add more, a big disappointment, will not go again

Went to Gatsby’s looking forward to their Xmas Turkey lunch. We usually enjoy the food but today we were very, very disappointed. We sat at a table where the previous occupants had left most of their food so it should have been a warning. Sadly It was mediocre to say the least. Asked for mint sauce but we were nearly finished when it came. Food was very poor and did cost more than they usually charge. Sorry Gatsby, must do better.

Came in for Sunday dinner today, and as a regular customer I must say I was very disappointed. Before the refurbishment the prices and food quality were excellent, but after today's visit I dont think I will be coming back for another Sunday dinner. The beef was really chewy and gristly and the roast potatoes were hard. I don't expect to pay more for the quality to be as bad as it was today, especially when I know you can do better. Voir le carte
