"What a wonderful place! It isn 't marked on many (if any) maps as a PH (Public House) and there are certainly no brown signs directing you to this mecca. The Garden House is a fantastic place to eat and or drink. The food is branded as 'American ' with an extensive menu ranging from chilli con carne, burgers, wraps, loaded fries to a well-chosen selection and very affordable children 's menu. I don 't think it has been a pub for long, hence the omission from old fashioned printed maps, but once you have found it the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. It isn 't a chain, but they are very family friendly and open all day from 12. It is amazing we didn 't see anyone from the Applewood Countryside Park campsite here, but because we had been here a few times before, we knew of its existence and the quality (and quantity) of food never disappoints. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for its individuality, excellent value for money, very friendly owners and staff, very kid friendly and most importantly open and COVID friendly. It is a wonderful spot with views across to the church. They open from 12pm and don 't close in the afternoon. The atmosphere is great and they make everyone feel welcome."

Lovely pub made to feel very welcome. Sunday lunch very tasty, topped off with a nice open fire which my dog appreciated after the wet walk to get there!

One of the best pubs I’ve been too since moving back couple of years ago. Food great, atmosphere great, bar staff couldn’t do enough for you. Looking forward to going again, and again and again.

My hubby and i went today we were looking for a nice pub for lunch we were not disappointed lovely staff amazing food all round lovely people. Soo much food i was stuffed and there is a music festival from 24 august so thinking of going must be a b+b or a campsite nearby. Thank you for making us so welcome see u soon.

A new family favourite! We heard about the garden house through other people. We thought today that we would give it ago. Very relaxing atmosphere with pleasant staff. Then out came the food. The portion sizes are amazing and whats even better is the quality of the food was just outstanding. If you are looking for a new place to eat i suggest you give this place a ring. We will most certainly be seeing you guys again soon.

Great pub ! Only moved up here at the end of January from Essex., but this is already a favourite. Popped in originally for the Sky Sports, but soon discovered the food ! Fantastic value, great selection, and all served with a smile ! The only downside to the place is that Nick, the guvnor, is a Spurs fan ! But I suppose you can’t hold that against him All in all, great place, great food, nice people.... what more could you want ?
