"Really handy not far from scotch corner, large car park. The food was really nice it looked immaculate (although the table was clean but sticky). My main issue is the really small menu although there were specials and hopefully these are changed regularly as nice as our meals were I would hesitate to go back as that was the only main I would like. The wine and soda was served separately (see photo) nice touch. I had fishcake with samphire, hollandaise and poached egg it was really nice and the fries were really crispy and not greasy. My wife had small fish and chips which wasn't small at all, she said it was delicious. The salt I think was sea salt flakes which was really nice but our salt pot ran out. Completely randomly from the car park there is a field and I have never seen as many wild rabbits in my life, there were at least 30 running around."

Nice place for lunch. Most of us has a burger and we all agreed they were very, very good. Burger was well seasoned, cooked well with good cheese etc. Well worth a visit.

Looks nothing as you drive by on the A66. But its a lovely place to stay. Staff are very friendly. Nice clean and tidy place. Meal's are very good, breakfast was also very nice.

The dining experience was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the location was fantastic. We decided to stop by on a whim after a long day, and we ended up enjoying a wonderful meal. I highly recommend this place!

We randomly stopped here as we were starving! It’s a great place for food, restrooms and a quick dog exercise break! The cheese burger was one of the best I’ve had for a while (proper local beef) and the ham and cheese was very cheesy! Their is a small enclosed paddock where you can through the ball and get the dog to run around, which is all away from the traffic.

on a Sunday on the way home and blown away with the sunday roast! we got half the chicken roast and it was absolutely perfect, crispy skin, delicate meat and the sweet were also amazing. it was all perfect and it is so favorable for the quality they get, most of the roast flours are about £15 if I didn't live 3 hours away I would be here every weekend. best brat I had in a restaurant!

This restaurant used to be a fish and chip place, but during my recent visit—our first time there—I noticed a lot has changed. The menu now offers a wider variety of options, but I stuck with the fish and chips, which were wonderful! The decor is nice, and the restrooms are impeccably clean. Exiting the parking lot can be a bit tricky, but if you wait patiently, you'll find a suitable gap to leave.

We stopped here for dinner and were impressed by the pub's beautiful decor. The food was also very tasty. We ordered the house special, "grilled seabass," and "chicken scavengers," both of which were cooked to perfection and delicious. The halat was good as well. I rated it four stars for a minor issue: the staff tended to drop the plates onto the table instead of placing them gently, causing some of our food to spill out of the dishes.

"I can honestly say that I have never given any pub or restaurant such a bad review but unfortunately tonight The Brownlow Arms warrants this one. We arrived at 8pm for our pre-booked table for two, completed the checking in form and waited for someone to acknowledge us. We were completely ignored by the girl behind the bar as she was too busy chatting to her friend about someone who had moved to a barn conversion !! Eventually another member of staff asked for our name and drinks order, then showed us to our table and gave us menus. Nobody came to take our order so we had to ask if this could be done, eventually a waitress arrived and we ordered our food. Almost an hour later, we managed to catch the eye of a member of staff and asked when we could expect our starters, he said that he would go and check but would we like another drink whilst we were waiting. We ordered two drinks and waited for him to return with the drinks and information on where our starters were. Another ten minutes went by and still no food, nor the drinks that we had ordered. We decided that we had been patient enough and told a member of staff that we were not prepared to wait any longer and we left. It appeared as though there was no management at all and what staff there were seemed to have no concept of delivering customer service. There was also minimal safety measures in place, including social distancing. We saw three tables going to the bar to ask for their bills as they had been waiting so long for their bill to be calculated. I cannot comment on the food because we didn't get any !! We are really trying to support local businesses but sadly we will not be returning to The Brownlow Arms. We understand that in the current climate things are a bit more challenging but tonights performance was abysmal."
