This is a 'proper ' pub restaurant. The food is top notch prepared served by the genial Ian Sue. I defy anyone to find a better Sunday Roast. Highly recommended.

I’m a local girl, and wish I’d visited this pub years ago. Friendly service and delicious food, in a traditional PH atmosphere, will keep returning. My husband enjoyed the beer too.

Despite being in lockdown we ordered a take away Sunday lunch. We both had roast pork followed by a crumble. This was not a run of the mill meal it was excellent We shall do this again and will be recommending to others

a lovely visit last night. if they like to eat beautiful, they visit this public house. the owners were friendly and welcoming, our food was nicely cooked and presented. our waitress was attentive and very professional. I highly recommend this pub. Voir le carte

real pub. as before. It can stay that long. just a few times earlier evenings have been here, looks like they are doing something nice traditional eating, can't comment on how only others see, but looks good.....very friendly and nice open fire. too, what do you want?

Out for a Sunday walk on a beautiful, dry Sunday morning. Thought it would be a lovely place to stop for a couple of drinks. Stopped abruptly at the door to be told muddy boots weren't acceptable. I had ensured I had NO mud on my boots (my partner was wearing trainers). I explained, only to be told still too muddy for them he couldn't even see the condition of them. Not as if it is fitted out with deep pile carpets. Was offered table service outside, by which time we were on our way to somewhere more hospitable. No wonder the pub was empty!!!!

Had a couple of drinks here yesterday lunchtime with my elderly dad. We both thought what a wonderful pub! Just how a traditional pub used to be. No piped music, no gaming machines but a real log fire, beams, carpet traditional pub furniture. A really pretty, immaculately kept proper pub where customers chat to each other. My dad is an ex publican he absolutely loved this pub we both wished it was where we live. We met the landlord had a chat to him contrary to the negative comments people have put on here about him we found him very friendly! Next time I am visiting my dad I will definitely bring him again have a sandwich along with our drinks which is another thing dad commented on saying... Voir le carte
