"As a family we have met up for food and drinks here fairly regularly but not any more. We as a group of 10 visited on a Sunday and in all honesty we may as well have been eating at a Hungry Horse type establishment but for more than double the price.Several of us had the mixed roast and the meat was awful.Tasteless and dried out and don't even get me started about the soggy veg.I could have coped with this but not £15.95! Premium price for sub standard food.We also had to ask for sauces which did come quickly to be fair but in small disposable plastic pots like an Indian takeaway. Not the way to go in this day and age.In short this place has gone MASSIVELY down hill and relies upon its nice riverside location for trade. To be fair they were very busy but this isn't an excuse.Big shout to the girls serving who were doing they're best under the circumstances"

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The staff was well-informed and went the extra mile to confirm that my meal was gluten and dairy-free. I would definitely recommend this place.

Meal good although would like some more trimming with the burger. I'm sure they would have if I had asked. Missing tomatoes etc but that's just my opinion. Chips were hot which is good. Portion size good.

Good food nice selection of dishes, their Fish and Chips are the best and the rest of the menu is also good, great place in summer you can sit outside along the canal great view and very informal dress, great place for lunch, dinner or snacks, a place everyone will enjoy

A small group of us enjoyed a mixed lunch with some having light bites while I had the full Sirloin steak, Chips, mushrooma and peas. Clean tidy and comfortable temperature. Good food, drinks and service. Remote location down winding country lanes which adds to the attraction of this Inn. Theree are rooms available for overnight stays as well also moorings for river boats.

Been many times ,but sadly going downhill, mains were nice and pudding ,my starter of cheese mushroom looked awful and was terrible, the young waiter dealt with it well and we were not charged but surely the chef looking at the greasy mess should have realised,so all in all food ok ,but the cushions were absolutely disgusting, stained and filthy...would take an hour in the machine !!! Clean it up...not acceptable . Voir le carte

We hired the 'venue ' room and had a family gathering to celebrate a 70th birthday. This event was a great success in every respect including the fantastic food and service provided. The staff were so helpful and polite. Food was amazing and we even had our own music, assisted by the venue. Easy to park, our own front entrance and spotless toilets. It 's the 'real deal ' and the events manager, Tracey, is so professional. We would ceritanly book this again.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The view being by the river was great. However the food has really gone down Hill unfortunately. We came over a year ago now and had a lovely meal so we thought we hadn’t been in a while so would return. The menu has obviously changed and the meals were very basic, I sent my burger back because it was so tough, slopped in a cheap bun with chips on the side. No presentation whatsoever no garnish or salad on side of the plate. No sauce in the burger I had to put my own in. Really disappointing and not worth the money. They also had Chicago town pizza on the menu, how embarrassing and lazy. Really need to work on the menu and food or sack the chef as it lets the...

"My friend kindly decided to take me another friend along to this her local pub for Xmas lunch on the 12th of December which we were all looking forward too, as we have eaten there before. Unfortunately on entering the pub it seemed quite cold as there was no open fire lite when we asked they told us they had run out of kindling, so we kept out coats on for sometime until we all warmed up. Then when we kindly asked for the menu unfortunately they had none of these as apparently they had ran out of ink for there printer so we then had to look at there written board on the wall, which had fish chips added to it. We were then told by the waitress they had no chips lol but you can have potatoes, unbelievable for a pub to run out of chips. When our meals arrived it was quite disappointing for a Christmas dinner the Yorkshire pud was completely flat, but you did get vegetables served separately which were quite a good variety even though there wasn’t lots. We then went onto order our deserts Once again to add disappointment they didn’t have any crème brûlée so the choice was just Xmas pud with brandy butter or ice cream. So one of my friends could only have ice cream as she’s gluten free who always fancies that on a cold day, me my other friend had the Xmas pud that was served in a pie dish which was not very appealing or professional looking it was served with custard not the brandy butter like the menu said. We did complain as my friends Xmas pud was also lukewarm they did kindly apologise warm it up. Because we complained they did take some of our bill. But I don’t think we will be visiting again anytime soon."
