"Excellent Food, Great atmosphere, and great location. Based on taste, price and atmosphere, this is another best kept secret near Koblenz; in Bad Ems. I visited this restaurant last weekend on Saturday evening, after making a reservation for two on the Thursday before. I made a reservation by email and received no reply, however perhaps because we also called by telephone an hour later that same evening for a reservation. We arrived earlier than our reservation time and were nicely greeted at the door. Our reserved table was waiting for us, as promised. The waitress also asked if she could take my coat and she hung it up in a large open closet, which had lots of room and where I could see my coat. The Menu consists of a select limited number of dishes, but with enough variety that anyone can find something good to eat. The Menu is very easy to read and understand. Plus, salads, fish and vegetarian meals are also available. While prices are above average, they are fair and the portions are adequate. I had a Schweinefiletspitzen „ Allgäuer Art“ in Käserahmsauce mit hausgemachten Spätzle dazu Feldsalat for € 14,50. I love spätzle noodles. My partner had the Gebratene US-Steakhüfte mit Sauce Bernaise dazu Grilltomaten und Kartoffelwedges for € 21,50. I tasted both dishes and I can happily recommend both meals as delicious. While my meal came with a salad, my partner’s did not. So we ordered an extra salad for her and shared it. Feldsalat mit Kartoffelspeck – Dressing, knusprigem Speck und Croutons € 8,50. The salad was served first and then the entrees, as it should be. They were nice enough to give us two plates for the first salad, as we requested; so we could share it. Both food dishes came, hot as required and within a timely manner. We also asked for more bread during the meal and received some, so we could soak up the delicious sauces from our meat. Empty plates were collected, when appropriate and at that time we were nicely asked if everything was OK.The atmosphere is pleasant and the restaurant nicely decorated, in an English-Art Deco-Dark Wood ambient but is not over done. The restaurant is roomy and well organized concerning space. It would be a great place for a special occasion. One can either sit outside (now that we have good weather), inside in the front of the restaurant and look out through the window, or far inside in the back. There is also a bar with bar chairs where one can also sit. Outside the area is covered and is partitioned from the sidewalk. The tables are nicely decorated with a cloth runner (which hangs in front of the where on sits on both sides of the table a little too long), a candle, and cloth napkins. This restaurant has parking across the street or down the street, with spaces for about 10+ cars, so we didn’t have to go hunting for a parking space on the street. Plus, because we were there on Saturday night, we did not have to pay to park. Otherwise, we would have to pay to park.We were also friendly wished a pleasant day, as we left the restaurant. The Internet page is very well organized and informative with the Menu On-line, but it is only in German. Negatives are: 1) While parking is available on the street, one has to pay to park, if they want to pay again to have the privilege to eat at this restaurant. 2) Internet Page is only in GermanOverall this restaurant receives my best recommendation and we will both be back to enjoy another meal."

We had a lunch here. It is a pleasant place with a medium service. We ate chicken, drank beer, water and soda. It is a cheap restaurant. We were four people and spent € 47,00.

The restaurant is located opposite Hacker's Hotel. The service is very good. The menu is only in German but the waiter make a point to explain to us using all the visual gesture that he could. He even made the oink oink sound to indicate the dish is a pork. The food is so far the best in Bad Ems. I had hawaiian chicken...Highly recommended!

This restaurant was recommended by a local citizen and he was right.I ordered the recommended steak from young german bulls but the, very friendly, waitress came to say that the cook was not happy with the quality of the meat and advised me to make another choice. This illustrates the high standard of quality they serve! The food and the wine were absolutely fine.

L’Estragon is located in the centre of Bad Ems at right bank of the Lahn River. The restaurant is pleasant and service is competent and friendly. Menu is German and international.Recommended by a local hotelier we went to l’Estragon for dinner and we were not disappointed. We had a table at the terrace. The food was so nice that we returned the next day.We recommend L’Estragon to anyone who seeks good food at an acceptable price. At l’Estragon you eat very well, it is true value-for-money restaurant.

Wonderful venue the food was very high standard most enjoyable very impressed with the service the young lady that served us both X and English which was very helpful when trying to understand the menu.Although I do have one criticism the information on the restaurant says open Open till 10 PM we tried to order a desert at 9:31 and were told that the restaurant was now closed so unable to order a desert after spending €100 on a meal. The average is purely down to the fact we were unable to order a desert

We, a family of three with a 5 year old girl enjoyed a dinner at this fabulous Italian restaurant. Service was excellent, the restaurant was full but we managed to get a table thanks to other guests finishing up their coffee. We had the most excellent pasta, my wife enjoyed the Ravioloni an I the Bauletti both exquisite! Our daughter had a pizza, Margherita and that was also very tasty. Wine menu Italian, we had a bottle of white wine. Bill total was 71€ which we were felt was good value for the money. We will definitely come back and recommend this authentic restaurant any day of the week

Restaurant Estragon is the restaurant, under separate management, at the hotel Bad Emserhof and is prettily located on the Lahn river. The solid furnishings fit the gutbürgerliche Küche as presented on the reasonably priced menu. So far so good, and that would have been fine if it ended there. But the restaurant has pretenses - what with the delicate ham and melon amuse geule decoratively served.Pretenses that did not fit well with the three young airheads waiting tables, who spent most of the evening loudly giggling at the bar.
