The owner is the best. Fun and friendly, but classy too. Great food and great service in a Cubano 20's themed bar.

we ate here in the night before the operation of my partner, as it is closest. the front of the houseman was very friendly and helpful and if necessary they will provide a meal in the hotel. we were disappointed that we were only able to try once we tried the next time that they were closed for a private party and then they were fully booked.

We were once again looking for new flavors and in this search we ended up in Esscobar, after of course we had previously reserved a place for Boxing Day. We were warmly welcomed and the staff was super attentive and accommodating. The food was well prepared and tasted very well. As the saying goes, simply delicious! We had dinner at Esscobar. This is an interesting restaurant for a small town like Cottbus. Their menu is simple but every dish has an interesting fusion twist like Wiener Schnitzel made with chicken brest with a delicious sauce and served with orzo side.Their pasta dishes all had intriguing elements. Something you don't expect in a town where you see kebabs and curryworst everywhere. Case in point: they even had a vegan dish.If you are in Cottbus, this is probably your best bet if you want something beyond basic Italian.

as the guest of the nearby SORAT hotel, we were told that we would be reduced on the bill. a nice thing, but not the reason to visit this restaurant. After we had a hernia surgery earlier, we didn't want to go too far from the hotel so we were here and it wasn't a disappointment at all! very friendly ladies, who make us a choice for a table. they all followed the rules for covid, which also felt safe. the menu is not very extended, but there is something for everyone. a mix of Italian and local cuisine. some beautiful bruchetta as a starter followed by a great kind of meat loaf with mashed kartoffel and red cabbage. miraculous and all served with a smile, although we could not see her smile...
