"I've been there a few times, the food was really good that evening, I had a fajita with chicken and it tasted really good. We got more tortillas upon request, and I know that everything will be more expensive, but sorry, I thought €2.10 for 3 “flaps” was a bit excessive. But the service was excellent, nothing was forgotten and you didn't have to wait long, even if it was quite busy. I can only warmly recommend a visit to El Barrio, but be sure to reserve a table ; And next time we'll hopefully have the chili con carne as a starter"

Essen wie immer einfach nur super, lecker und empfehlenswert! Nach dem Essen die Überraschung: es werden keinerlei Karten mehr akzeptiert! Einzige unbare Zahlungsmöglichkeit per PayPal. Das ist nicht zeitgemäß, zumal es in der Umgebung keinerlei Bankautomat gibt. Kartenzahlungsgebühren müssen mit kalkuliert werden, wobei es auch viele unterschiedliche Anbieter gibt. "Wir waren früher öfter zu gast, seid dem Umzug von Wevelinghoven nach Hemmerden das erst mal. Ambiente ist eher ein feines Restaurant ohne Linie und Seele, als dass man sich wie in Mexico fühlt. Service freundlich, bemüht aber unstrukturiert. Schade ist, dass man als erstes von einem Schild begrüßt wird keine Kartenzahlung und als nächste einem die Servicekraft mitteilt, dass der Gasgrill defekt ist und es keine Steaks etc. gibt. Die Durchgangstüre zu den Toiletten (Fluchttüre) vom Saal aus war verschlossen, der Platz wo der Feuerlöscher ausgeschildert war, war nicht zugänglich da dort ein Gast saß. Nun zum Essen, ich hatte die Fajita Carne y Pollo und meine Frau die Tacos con Carne de res. Zu der Fajita, der Gemüsereis schmeckte nur nach Möhren ansonsten eher geschmacklos, lag wohl an den großen und vielen Möhrenstücken. Der Salat war leider nicht gut angemacht, nur ein wenig Dressing darüber geträufelt. Das Fleisch in Sahnesauce, war ganz gut sowie der Rest (Weizentortilla, Sourcream, Avocado Creme, Streukäse). Zwei von 3 Tacos waren oben am Rand verbrannt, das con Carne eher geschmacklos alles in allem ok. Bei der Rechnung wurden zuerst die Speisen vergessen nach einem Hinweis kam eine korrigierte Rechnung. Der Erdbeergruß zum Abschluss war sehr lecker. Als Resümee früher haben die Speisen besser geschmeckt. Dafür kommen wir nicht wieder. Das super leckere Tiramisu gibt es auch schon lange nicht mehr."
