Been coming here quite a few times over the years. The food is always great, staff are very friendly and attentive. The meals are really good value too.

magnificent place, with unbeatable views, the treatment of the very correct staff, and the very good food, especially the exquisite croquettes, what I call the attention is the exhibition of sculptures in the entire courtyard of the restaurant, accompanied with wonderful silvers. Voir le carte

This lovely restaurant is set within the walls of the beautiful old town of Castello d'Empuries. It is run by the 2 ladies who used to run Cash Clara Restaurant in the same town. Now they have moved on to this delightful place and taken all their hospitality and culinary skills with them. We have visited a few times and each visit has been a delight. The food, service and ambiance is all excellent and it is by far our favourite place to go for lunch or dinner in the area.

El Portal de la Gallarda is a garden restaurant, located in the old town of Castelló d'Empúries and very close to the cathedral. At the moment, probably because of the Covid-19 measures (I am not sure as I did not ask), there is no possibility to get an interior table. Food on average, good friendly service. At dinner time, there are also “Fixed menu” options available too. Our overall experience was not one of the best, because of a cold and very windy night (Tramontana’s fault).

hi hem anat a sopar, lloc és immillorable, exterior, molt reassure i es gaudeix d'un bon atmosphere i paisatge dels voltants. pe que fa al menjar, diferents opcions, i amb diferents preus, molt correcte i amb una relació qualitat/preu més que correct. I've got some of the taules and the cadires. the taula that ens have assignat (per a dues persones,) was molt incòmoda, could not bellugar les cames de cap manera i per menjar, posició també és incòmoda. entenc que va a joc amb les cadires de director que al ser d'una marca de cervesa, es deu tractar d'un acord comercial, però personalment, crec que desentonen amb tota la resta.
