"We have been coming back to Crans Montana every year for 16 years we know what restaurants are available in the area, but for some reason had never tried Le Farinet, so decided to give it a go and had high hopes given the good reviews. However, we had a very poor experience. The service was extremely slow, it took 20 minutes just to bring us menus (and we had a reservation). I then ordered a dish with the primary ingredient being seitan and when the food arrived, quickly realized the seitan was missing. I notified the waiter and he said oh, I’ll ask the chef and brought the food back to the kitchen after which it took 20 minutes for the dish to come back to me with its intended primary ingredient. Meanwhile, the rest of the people I was eating with were waiting to eat their food and of course 20 minutes later, their food was cold. Mistakes happen, I understand but the worst part about the experience was the response and attitude to the mistake. No coming to the table while I was waiting for the food to apologize, explain the mistake and even when the food finally came and we were quite cross with the delay, no real sense of an apology, just very cold and matter of fact. Finally, when we asked one waiter for the bill, we waited 20 minutes only to have another waiter give us the dessert menu and had to ask for it all over again. Additionally, even though our experience was tainted by the bad service, I can honestly say the food was bland. A few people at our table got the quinoa curry dish and there was little to no hint of curry flavor and the seitan, when it finally came, felt like it was just thrown in with a watery broth. So overall, although it’s in a great location and has a nice terrace, I wouldn’t recommend Le Farinet go to one of the other lovely restaurants in Crans Montana, and you’ll have a better experience."

"Wir waren schon eine Weile nicht mehr im Continental und haben uns entschlossen, das Mittwochsmenü zu probieren. Wir waren angenehm überrascht von der Menge an Essen (meine Mutter hatte Mühe, ihr Dessert zuzubereiten, nachdem sie die Vorspeise und das Hauptgericht gegessen hatte). Sie erhalten drei Kurse für 18. 50 chf und es lohnt sich. Die Vorspeise ist eine Wahl der Suppe des Tages oder des Salats (die Salate waren beide Tage etwas unterschiedlich) das Haupt- und dann das Nachtisch. Es gab paniertes Hähnchenschnitzel mit Spaghetti und Tomaten-Basilikum-Sauce als Haupt- und Apfelkuchen zum Nachtisch am ersten Tag und Lasagne, gefolgt von Brownies am zweiten.Wir saßen am ersten Tag drinnen und der Innenraum ist hell und luftig, wir saßen am zweiten Tag draußen auf der Terrasse, als die Sonne draußen war.Das Personal war freundlich, schnell und effizient. Ich würde eine frühere Sitzung empfehlen, wenn Sie das Menu du Jour möchten, da sie sehr beschäftigt sind, am ersten Tag haben wir bemerkt, dass das gesamte Restaurant das Menu du Jour hatte und ich kann sehen, warum!"

"Natürlich haben wir nicht angestarrt, aber als wir ankamen, fragte ich mich, ob es Didier de Courten war, der freundlich in der Bar plauderte. Also schlenderte ich zur Anzeige des neuesten Hochglanzbuchs des Küchenchefs. Und ja. Es war.Wir waren schon vorher zum Mittagessen. Und haben große Familienanlässe im berühmten Hauptrestaurant nebenan markiert. L 'Atelier ist eine großartige Idee. Billiger, weniger Glamour. Kein Michelin Stern (ch), aber immer noch, wie ihre Website sagt, die Berührung eines großen Kochs .Wir waren während der Spielsaison wieder bei Freunden, was in Restaurants im ganzen Wallis eine große Sache ist. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Jedes Gericht war hübsch, einfallsreich und außergewöhnlich lecker. Lebensmittel, die Sie fotografieren, genießen und in Erinnerung behalten möchten. Auch gute Portionen.Die Tische liegen ziemlich dicht beieinander. Das Team vor dem Haus ist entspannt. Ganz Sierre scheint zum Geburtstag oder zum großen Jubiläum hierher zu kommen. Tabellen von drei oder vier Generationen. Wir waren neben der Familie eines ausgemeißelten alten Uhrmachers aus dem Schweizer Zentralguss.Wie beschaffen sie sich die Zutaten, um gleichbleibend hohe Lebensmittel zu produzieren? Und sie dann auf überraschende Weise kombinieren? Ein kluger Mann, der Didier de Courten.Wir waren 40 Meilen entfernt in Champery und nur für ein paar Tage. Aber das Essen war so gut, dass wir einen erneuten Besuch in Betracht ziehen. Wir haben widerstanden. Spezielle Mahlzeiten sollten etwas Besonderes sein einmalig. Bis wir als nächstes im Wallis sind."

"This is the place for a fun and lovely meal with the loveliest burgers. My 18 year old would consider himself an expert on burgers and this was his best of all time. If you’ve got kids and they’re bored of traditional restaurants full of...adults come here with them!"

"Just passing by, we decided to give the restaurant a try. As it was a friday evening and the restraunt was very crowded, we were lucky to find a place for 2 people (TIP: call in advance to book a table, it will sapre you a bad surprise when arriving there! . The service was chaotic, I guess there where too many guests... or not enough staff members. Even if they were obviously under pressure, the waiters were polite and helpful. Regarding the food, we were very happy with what we were served. The Pizza della Casa and the Linguine alle scampi were very good and well prepared. The wine served to us was a bit cold, but could get warm enough before we got our meals. Globally, we were culinary very satisfied, but the staff was really stressed making the service not satisfying..."
