"after a long day around wales we drove here in the evening with friends to dinner managed to fit us into the eating was good, but one thing spoiled it... the woman had blown her slices a bit and was lucky to not lose a tooth or worse. there was in there a piece of cinnamon stick / wood what if a child had tried to swallow this, this is and on it, this? I've never seen any curry that my wife has eaten. so they pamper it for them immediately and since they had nothing else there would be no alternative ... so they only eat their bread eating the food for the rest of the group was good, just how I dangerous articles that spoil it"

"We went to celebrate a family birthday, so we obviously took our own atmosphere! The food was excellent, and the staff was attentive but not in your face. Took our own birthday cake, which was discussed beforehand, and they provided plates and utensils. Within the group, we had a coeliac and another with food allergies, so it was not the easiest group to cater for, all done with no fuss, and everyone enjoyed their food! Couldn't have been more pleased with our visit. All of us said we'd definitely go again! Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"We arrived at the campground in our motorhome for an overnight stay with electrical hookup. Our pitch was located between a train track and a busy road, but we were not disturbed by noise. Unfortunately, our pitch was too far from the electric point, so we did not have hookup in the evening as all the other pitches were taken. However, we were able to move to a closer pitch in the morning and were allowed to stay longer on site while everything charged up. We decided to have Sunday lunch at the bar and even though it seemed a bit pricey on the menu, the food was worth every penny. The Sunday lunch was great, good value, and a generous portion size, perfect for fueling the next leg of our Lejog journey. I would recommend this site for a one-night stay, no problem."

"I don't plan on returning to this restaurant. I stopped by earlier this morning and ordered a cup of tea and a prawn salad. However, after the first few prawns, I had doubts about their freshness. I decided to continue eating the salad, but as I had a few more prawns, their chewy texture and bad aftertaste made me realize they were not up to my expectations. (I still have that aftertaste) I finished the rest of the food without causing a fuss. When my plate was cleared, I discreetly mentioned the issue to the lady, but she quickly brushed it off by insisting that they were freshly prepared that morning. I expressed my concern again, but received the same response. I waited for about 10 minutes for a manager to address my issue, but no one came, so I proceeded to pay. I reiterated my concern to the lady at the till, but once again, I was told the prawns were freshly prepared that morning. I explained that just because something was prepared that day, doesn't guarantee freshness, especially with fish. I also mentioned that I eat prawns regularly and wouldn't have left them if they were okay. Still, the manager was not called over. I paid and left, being told to 'have a nice day'. My concern was not raised to a manager as far as I know. I realize I should have insisted on speaking with a manager, but if the staff are not willing to escalate issues themselves, there seems to be a management problem. Constructive feedback is important for businesses to thrive. I don't want to create any problems, and I am not one to speak poorly of a decent business. However, the prawns tasted off, and my comments were not taken seriously when I brought them up."

"The kings has always been a popular place for our family with tasty food, so we were looking forward to going back after lockdown. It’s a nice dining room and the staff were helpful but the waitress completely mixed up the order and didn’t seem to know how to deal with it when we pointed out the error. We ended up swapping parts of food between us to get it right. The vegetable crumble tasted like a few veggies in a packet cheese sauce. Another member had a very salty gammon and the steak pie was full of grissle. Menus were hand written on bits of paper which seemed a bit unprofessional. Overall OK but not likely to return."
