"Great little find. Good pub with tasty food and friendly service. There was a good choice of pub food, freshly made and served hot. Portion sizes are large and we struggled to finish our plates but it wasn’t for a want of trying. Our son has a food allergy and the waitress immediately identified what items of the food we would be worried about and reassured us it was safe. There was a good selection of Gluten free meals listed on the chalkboard. All in all, a great place to eat and we will definitely be back."

We came on the recommendation of other pubs in the same street- and we weren't disappointed. Immediately part of the evening (as a mixed race couple). We must come back to try the rest of the menu.

The restaurant had a great ambiance and we had a lovely evening, but the only downside was that the price of beer increased with each round. Make sure to keep an eye on how much you're spending on drinks.

I have never been disappointed by this incredible restaurant. Sally and her team offer exceptional service and delicious food. I can't find a single fault with this place. Every visit is met with a friendly welcome.

Went over to Isle of Wight for the day...called in for Sunday lunch and a few pints !!! Absolutely amazing beef dinner.... lovely pint of Guinness the staff couldn't do enough I was on my own but felt really welcome Voir le carte

Food rubbery cold no taste. A microwave burger has more taste that the burgers serve here. Place looks like it could do with a make over. Very disappointing with food, the way the place looks. Wouldn’t recommend at all…

Lovely place, the people are incredible Nice! Great conditions to Stay. The food are absolutelly great. I loved the week I stayed here. Thank you much for everything. If I return to the Island of Wight, I know where I AM staying and having dinner.

Went to Cowes for a day out and had lunch at the Duke of York, a friendly greeting from Chris's, the food on offer is what i like to call good home style cooking done to perfection, I have no hesitation in recommending the duke of York for a meal and a friendly atmosphere, you will not be disappointed. We arrived in Cowes for our 10 day break our first port of call is usually the Duke of York as it’s close to our apartment. Last year we were a little disappointed with the food but I am glad to say it’s back on track! We had the best (and biggest) fish chips we have had for a while it was so huge I couldn’t finish mine didn’t have time for a pud! We are looking forward to Sunday lunch!

I went with a large group of 35 volunteers from Boathouse 4 in the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. We had pre-ordered our meals due to the size of our party and when we arrived at 1pm, all orders were promptly served. The food was delicious and everyone in our group was extremely satisfied with the quality. The staff at the Duke of York were exceptional and we highly recommend this restaurant.
