"The restaurant is located on the floor at Hohe Strasse in the pedestrian walkway. Look up to find the red and white sign (we walked by it at first thinking it would be along the walkway), ascend the stairs or use the elevator,...and you'll enter an inviting ambiance that is reminiscent of many steakhouses, only smaller. We had not reservation, but were quickly seated and our waitress arrived shortly, thereafter. In addition to their standard al-a-carte steak menu, Das kleine offers several set steak entrees with salad, and baked potato (the menu item implies a single baked potato; two of these arrived on each of our plates But, then again, it's all about the steak. The restaurant serves Black Angus steaks, and both the petit filet mignon gm) and their sirloin gm) were delectable. The filet was, by far, the most tender, melt-in-one's-mouth fleisch of the evening, with the sirloin a close second. Both were grilled and seasoned to perfection, leaving both my wife and I with a sense of satisfaction as we walked down the stairway and back to the pedestrian mall. Recommended if you're thinking about something other than standard German cuisine in Koln."

We knew this restaurant after many years of fairs in Cologne. Friendly and correct service. Nice meat. Desserts very good and excellent wine.

Succulent steak with reasonable price. Escargot in garlic butter having with bread was also delicious. Sautés vegetable with mozzarella cheese came with baked potato was also tasty for vegetarians.

Nice restaurant on a floor in a comercial street. Very good steak with very good french fries, very good starters. Wine choice made by the attendant was really good (can't remember the wine). Good choice for steak lovers

The restaurant is tucked away on te story of one of the shopping streets. A table by the woindow makes for great people watching. The steak was tasty- not really rare though.Service was great and very helpful to non-German speakers.

Went here for a team dinner when at an exhibition. I have had better steak in Cologne so as an alternative you should try Ponchos, which is always excellent. Service was slightly slow when it came to drinks and place a bit lacking in atmosphere,...but fine if you are just looking for a good steak.

Food was very good as was the service how ever when paid the bill the waiter in his broken english tried to make me add a tip to my credit card payment and then asked me if the service was ok, again making me feel...like i should tip. When leaving i said thank good bye and he mumbled so comment- no doubt rude!!

Good solid steakhouse. But it is formulaic. The food was reasonably good, but the steak could have been better. The potato was wrapped in foil so had a soggy outside. Reasonable salad. Nice fried onions and the creamed mushrooms were nice All in all, quite...nice. Not the best meal we've had in Cologne, but I would go back again.

I visited this restaurant (top floor) professionally, we chose the place for the super positive comments. I have to say that our experience was not at all positive. The service is terrible, I had a situation where the waiter didn´t want to serve me the...wine, and he wanted me to change glasses with another person at the table, because he already have a glass with wine at the temperature I wanted. I never had a situation like this. One of the people in our table ordered a specific whiskey, the waiter brought a completely different one, and didn't even ask if he wanted a different one, it just served and hoped we wouldn't notice the difference.
