"My husband and I just had dinner at De Amadeo and the experience was poor. The restaurant is nice and has a good varanda. However, since the beginning we didn’t feel very welcome because we didn’t speak Italian. The restaurant was empty (most 10 tables occupied of more than 50). We had a basket of bread, bottle of wine and decided to share a dish simply because we were not hungry enough to have 2. The owner was not happy and kept asking if we wanted something else but that was enough for us. At the end, the bill was EUR 34,00 (which is not cheap for what we had) and we asked to pay with card, but the owner started pretending the machine was not working we had to insist several times until she agreed to “try” and of course it worked. We left the restaurant with the two owner screaming at us saying shouldn’t come back to spend 34,00 that we should go to a pizzeria next time."

If you are visiting Salento don't miss to spend a dinner time in this classy restaurant with revisited dishes of local tradition. Book a table in the internal orange tree garden and spend a very good evening. Recommended !!

I never make negative reviews, I prefer to gypsy. But I am sorry for this place so deceived and I would like them to reflect. you have the location, fame and everything that others can not or have. put on passion and you will see that you will certainly improve so much.

This was quite a find in the sleepy village of Castro. A few minutes walk from the central square definitely made worthwhile by the food. The seafood antipasti looked great and the calamari were beautifully cooked. Lovely setting in the garden made for a delicious lunch

just outside the historic center of the village of castro we had dinner in a magnificent pergola courtyard, with good service and without long waits. octopus on puree of really soft and tasty potatoes, as well as swordfish, high quality, just right quantity. also the portions of the contours have been a little bit 'resicate just impossible to strengthen them a little 'good the chardonnay but the small bottle cc) almost at the cost of a great.
