"This was my first visit, had a table booked for 12 noon but on arrival at 11.55 the doors were still locked, when eventually the doors were opened we were met by a rather frosty reception from a member of staff who I later learned was the Duty Manager. Having not been before I wasn’t aware of how the restaurant worked, whether table service or order at the bar. The woman was blunt unfriendly even when my 7yr old son said “thank you” for his drink she showed no interest but simply ignored him. I said thank you for our drinks but still no smile or warmth from the woman whatsoever, this made me feel very uncomfortable before even ordering food, I even considered going elsewhere. Thankfully the rest of our visit was pleasant, I ordered food with a different member of staff the waiting staff were friendly. The food was good plenty of it. This is clearly a very popular place I would definitely recommend booking! A good place with a varied menu, the Carvery looks very good too, it’s unfortunate that one member of Staff can have such a negative effect on Customers."

"Another excellent meal at The Swan Inn last Saturday lunchtime served by very knowledgeable and helpful staff. We sat in the conservatory and enjoyed the fish dishes that were on the blackboard. As my mother-in-law lives locally we'll certainly be visiting again. The sweet menu was extensive and priced at a very reasonable £6, much cheaper than a lot of pubs these days. This pub is definitely a hidden gem in rural Worcestershire."

"Today myself and my husband with his guide dog went for lunch. We were met by a pleasant girl who said she did not know if she could let us in with a guide dog. We said guide dogs are allowed under law. She checked...with her colleague who said he would check with his manager. He came back and said no dogs allowed. We again pointed out under the law we are allowed as he is a guide dog. He said no because of health and hygiene and COVID. The young girl suggested we sit outside with a heater and blanket. We asked to see the manager. She was very abrupt and said we could not come in. It was her policy. I said they were breaking the law add would she turn someone away in a wheelchair? She said of course not. My husband pointed out his dog was his aid and she was discriminating him for having a disability. This was humiliating and upsetting for us all. She was totally unsympathetic and spoke to us like dirt. How a manager with no people skills and a complete ignorance of the law can be put in charge is beyond me. This will be reported and will be followed up as my husband is a former manager of the Guide Dog Association and is well aware of the law. I don’t want anyone in this day and age to be treated like this. It is very upsetting and can kicks you in the teeth and knocks your confidence to come out and socialise. Absolutely disgusting service."

"I recently had an amazing Sunday Roast at this restaurant. It was by far the best I've ever had. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The staff were excellent as well. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality of the meal. Overall, I give this restaurant a perfect score of 5 for Food, Service, and Atmosphere."

"I am like the superfan of my local chippy in newlands. on Monday, the doors are open and business after the very, very, long Kovid restrictions. it was nice to see people back in the load. personally, I will hold to the pre-order slot and pick up from the window. Slick operation, efficient and punctual and works well for me. I could add that the owners regularly still support the community cupboard and meal times for the homeless in worcester regularly (as yesterday evening."
