Winkle's Kitchen - Carte

We came across the Crab and Winkle by chance while exploring Whitstable. This place is really cool!

This is an amazing restaurant with beautiful harbor views. However, they specialize in fish and seafood dishes, so if you're in the mood for steak, this may not be the place for you.

Great value for money, added to my list to go back . Seafood fresh and some audacious recipes, like black pudding and scallops. Our octopus was a bit overcooked, which compromise the 5star. Voir le carte

The Crab and Winkle Resturant were no longer there as they burned down a month before. Very sad for them, but we had to phone around to find a booking somewhere else, as we were not reported.

We had a lovely lunch featuring seafood, chowder, and fish and chips while sitting on the balcony with a view of the harbor. Although it wasn't the cheapest option (as the collection below offers more affordable choices), it was a very enjoyable experience.

Dined here on Valentines night and it was such a lovely experience. The food served was amazing... oysters, scallops and black pudding salad, lemon sole and the best creme brulee..... the atmosphere and service we received was second to none. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

I could easily give this restaurant a five-star review! I've never had such an incredible experience in a seafood restaurant before. We tried our first natural oysters, and they were fantastic! The highlight for me was the delicious brown fish—I can't recall having anything quite like it. It's not often you find octopus claws in a fish restaurant, unless you go to a Greek place in England. The mussels were also amazing! On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were so happy to have discovered this place to celebrate our special occasion!

What a pleasant surprise! Upon ringing the doorbell, the ambiance felt serene. A staff member welcomed us and escorted us upstairs, where we underwent a temperature check, which was quite reassuring. Then the experience truly began. The view over the harbor from the restaurant is absolutely fantastic. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, demonstrating a deep knowledge of the menu. If you love seafood, this place is a must-visit—the dishes are exceptional. We even had the chance to speak with the owner, who shared insightful knowledge about the city and the restaurant’s offerings.
